yuk - Stabby perhaps? ... I thought all that sort of thing had stopped since "dating" apps were created? ... most distasteful .
ETA - temptation to drop a text is easily being resisted!

I've not heard back yet but it was out of hours so imagine by Monday I'll get a reply. It is a very friendly place with friendly staff, but I would say they are not great at calling back. Unless they have closed down and furloughed the staff (which they did on the first lockdown) there should be someone there at the weekends. If you havenโt heard back by Monday Iโd give them another call (or two, until you get an answer). There is only 1 person on so if she is out of the office serving customers etc you wonโt get an answer.

I find it quite exciting that Mark is planning on going nearer my old stamping ground..am hopeful I'll manage another trip though there are still other places I want to go guess it all depends on a) covid and b) is a white shepherd welcome? . we shall see.... hopefully we will all get vaccinated..no new variants will scupper plans and life will continue as we want it to

Dunchurch Pools Marina which has not long opened seems to have a good reputation. Don't know how far it is from shops and anything much else about it though. Not much in the way of amenities I believe.. not even a nearby pub ๐

Could venture up the Ashby also, trinity marina at Hinckley is close to town or market bosworth but not a lot up there only a little co op which isnโt cheap when weekly shopping. I/we like Bosworth a lot. Town has various pubs and takeaways. Small coop as you say plus butchers and grocers. Locals without transport say the buses run well. Also can catch a steam train to the pub and back. Great management there as well.

Reference ianali 's comment re Dunchurch Pools ... pleasant staff and a nice marina but essential to have transport for shops etc. Coal and diesel prices were very good too. Rog
