Don't we have any dear friends up there that can go, once more, unto it? And report back.

The leaking breach repair has been improved but not entirely. The plan is to cofferdam right across the canal either side of the breach so they in their words "can do a proper job". Down at Goole where the leaking emergency stop gates are, they have put a set of steel stop planks/panels in to back the gates up. The pumps are still running to keep levels up for the docks. The canal is still down a bit, and the levels within the Goole Docks area are usually 1-2 ft down which isn't too bad. We are moored in a shallow corner of Goole Boathouse Marina so to stay afloat we have to be tethered away from the bank in deeper water.
We have been told the repairs to the breach could take 3-5 weeks when they start but they haven't started yet as far as I know.

I omitted to say the pictures are courtesy of Mark Penn. He has a drone group on Facebook and said I could use his photos.

The drone bloke says he was talking to somebody on-site and apparently the cofferdams should be in place by the end of February.

The farce continues. The cofferdams are in place. However the canal is overtopping the pilings on the West side (Pollington side). The breech isn't emptying, and the East side (Goole side) is being starved of water. Boats moored at Rawcliffe Bridge are struggling. On top of that the pumps at the Goole emergency stop gates (caisson) are failing to keep the levels up at Goole. Pictures courtesy of Mark Penn, Drone Pilot.
