In the Middle Ages they celebrated the end of the Plague with Wine and Orgies. Is anyone planning anything? (asking for a friend).

I'm planning a trip up north, where I can hopefully meet up with a clown (no not for an orgy) - will be time to start planning Corbyn's comeback speeches!

No end to this one, they see how willing you are to be masked. Kids will not become educated with 'home schooling' by 'working class' or 'middle class' parents - only the rich can afford private tuition and nannies. Part of the plan - to dumb down the population - their place is in the supermarkets - and to serve the elite. Just shut up and put your mask on, or your will be a Social Outcast, people will point and call you a Granny Killer. Take the 'vaccine' to show what a 'responsible citizen' you are.

I'm long since past "orgies" but happy to help out with the wine ... no questions asked :-)

There will never be an end to covid. It will mutate regularly as do all the flu viruses and will be with us for ever, just like the common cold virus. We will develop some herd immunity but it will continue to kill the weak and elderly as it has done for a year or more.

The bubonic plague is still on the planet somewhere.

DMR from the other channel arrived and has stayed for 2 winters, Heidi Manning with her pirate boat arrived at the end of summer. Easy access to facilities, shops, walks in the hills etc. Easy enough to CC between Rochdale and Sowerby, floods and wolves permitting. There are some cheap moorings around if you know where to look.

I'm not sure that the vaccine is going to do what I expected, seemingly only 80 percent efficacy, plus or minus, Its going to limit the spread but still means I'm not out if the woods or ever can be. Is this the same scenario as the flu jab, which I thought was 100 Viruses (as in the common cold) don't succumb to antibiotics, but bacteria do eg Bubonic plague, Cholera. Syphilis.

The bubonic plague is still on the planet somewhere. I lived through the plague outbreak in India in 1994 which is believed to have been pnuemonic and bubonic. I was working in Delhi and the pharmacies ran out of tetracyclin because the locals believed that, if they dosed up on it, it would protect them from getting infected.
A few years earlier an Indian architect working with me had a scare when his son nearly died from malnutrition. He had an unidentified infection and the doctors tried every available antibiotic with no success, except apparently killing all the useful bacteria in the boy's stomach to the extent that he could no longer digest food. Is it any wonder that with behaviour like that we are running out of effective antibiotics?

Thanks for the heads up! Will probably stay away for a while now that it's becoming so popular x

What did you do to avoid it? "except apparently killing all the useful bacteria in the boy's stomach to the extent that he could no longer digest food" - wow! so you were on the medical team? why didn't you tell them how to do it properly? not worthy of comment.
