Dont worry Ross the CCTV is on a 24 hour loop and the boat is long gone!! I take it when you eventually catch up with the boat will you be just using the 30 day roving license and then return to the marina for a couple more years?
Up for sale by the end of the year?....... Reading his last to quotes to me which were Ross rather than crazy foxy, it could be that you are correct Gazza. That would be a shame as in the flesh Ross and witchy are are lovely people and I for one would be sad not to see them again

CRT will be selling several seized boats from the holding site near Chester I would expect. Don't buy Tony Dunkerley's, he wants it back, Halcyon something. ' Some rather better general advice would be to avoid buying any boat from any location or storage site where the C&RT hide their collection of illegally held and unlawfully seized vessels. With the exception of vessels that GENUINELY, and in EVERY respect, fell under the definition of a "relevant craft" under Section 8(1) of the 1983 BW Act, any vessel 'seized' under one of the declaratory 'Court Orders' that C&RT is so fond of obtaining and 'enforcing' is neither Commercial Boat Services' nor C&RT's to sell. Buying one of these vessels IS buying stolen goods, . . the actual sale in itself, to an unconnected third party, demonstrates an intention on the part of the seller to permanently deprive the rightful owner of the goods in question.

Has anyone ever been charged with the above, or had the boat taken back?

Talk of 'theft' and handling stolen goods' is simply emotive language.
Where stolen goods have been bought in good faith for value, a court will decide ownership.
Intention to permanently deprive is only part of the theft definition ... 'dishonesty' has to be proved also ... and in these circumstances (removal/seizure by order of a court, even if subsequently shown to be erroneously) evidence of dishonesty would be absent.
Unless of course proof can be provided, not merely suggested ?

Anyone remember the boat that got robbed on the Coventry, from a marina it think back in 2016, they came on the other place and junior found it from memory with a couple on it and I think they had tried to paint it..
They never did come back and say what happened.

There was one alleged 'stolen' boat which was subsequently recovered and a court case followed to resolve the dispute over ownership.
Don't know if was the same incident though @froggy

Rog You persist in clinging to your belief in the BW/C&RT originated illusion that any Court has ever ordered the removal, or seizure, of any vessel. The stark reality is that neither BWB nor C&RT have ever obtained such an Order, . . . nor the necessary Court authorization in the form of the additional Court issued Warrant or Writ instructing genuine Court authorized Bailiffs to 'enforce' the Order. Look carefully at, and note, the wording in paragraph 1 of the DECLARATORY Order made on 15 August 2019 - the word 'declaratory' is in itself highly significant, . . and crucial to a true understanding of the Court's intentions. < canalrivertrust.org.uk/refresh/media/thumbnail/42710-court-order-halcyon-daze-52721.pdf >
