most Italian cars/most Italaian bikes were produced by designers that had only two things on their minds ..... sex and speed

I was once the owner of a Ducatti Barcelona Ventiquattro Ore, Chrome and paint fell off when it rained, electrics sometimes worked for more than a day but my God ..... was it fun

I hear Alfa is on the bottom of all the lists - reliability, service, etc. And yet in nearly 50 thousand miles across the two cars all that has gone wrong is a rattly rear seat catch in the first one and a sticky rear boot release button on the current one - that is a smart and crap design all in one fowl swoop, the badge on the boot is the release, push it in to open the boot, except it fills full of road grime (because hatchback) and ends up sticking. our local dealer is exemplary - never had cause for complaints in the near 6 1/2 years we have been customers. Sure, there are plenty that have had shit experiences throughout the Alfa dealership network, but don’t forget, it is a premium product with expectations a little higher than the average white goods shit box 👍👌
