As title - you roaming boaters always have an eye for a good deal!
New iPad on its way, will predominantly be used by the dwarf who can drive YouTube and the iPlayer....
Anyone know of a good cheap unlimited data sim only deal on a decent network - I have no answer to the last part of the question, having for the last 6 months been mainly confined to the north of the county with daily trips to work as my only amount of roaming!
Thank you Please!

Smarty, on the 3 network. Works fine for me. Bought on an offer @£15 a month. Monthly, cancel anytime.

I've got EE and Smarty sims in the phone and I sometimes find the latter (3 network) a bit slow compared with the EE.
It could just be location and signal.
That's 30gb for £10 a month I didn't realise for another £5 it would be unlimited. that seems a good deal.
Do they still do the "unlimited except that it is limited" thing or is it truly unlimited.
I rather dislike the way that advertisers are allowed to change dictionary definitions just to increase profit margins.
If it is advertised as "unlimited" there should be no limit. End of.

So the customer has to be fair but the company selling the product are allowed to use unfair tactics in their advertising.
Oh well nothing new under the sun after all Dyson made a lot of money saying their *vaccine cleaners "don't lose suction" when in fact they do lose suction when the foam filter gets clogged up and the pressure relief valve starts operating...
Lies damn lies and advertising.
*ETA this should of course say vacuum not vaccine.

Unlimited with three 17 quid a month. Comes with the new HUAWEI home fi unit, but if you don’t need that, you can flog it for 80-90 quid, which going towards your monthly bill will make it 14 quid a month. Three can be a bit slow in some areas though.

In the early days of mobile data, 'fair use' meant in practice more than 100 gb / month. It was aimed at unscrupulous businesses exploiting bandwidth (which used to be much more limited before 4G) on a private-use plan and con-artist spammers (who have largely changed tactics). I used about 80 gb last month which so far isn't a problem. Seemingly.

I understand why there are limits I just don't understand why they are allowed to describe it as "unlimited".
It seems odd. A bit like saying you can go into Tesco and have as many apples as you like (unlimited apples) for £5 but there is a limit of 50 apples.
It's a bit dodgy changing the meaning of words like that. Not surprisingly it is the word "unlimited" which attracts people. The fact they know that it is not unlimited doesn't really matter.
It's too scammy.

Just renewed mine for £15 Inc Home fi 😷 It's good down here in Devon not so good in the marina as there are a hundred or so users on in the same small area😱

@gazza Smarty is good and reasonably cheap since you don't have a contract you can change anytime if it's not suitable. £20 a month unlimited but if you use this link to join referme.to/blHJxgxYou and I will get a free month of data. 😎

This makes it a somewhat academic point.

Can't see any limits on my "3" SIM and it's used a lot since it is my only broadband at home and we stream a lot of TV. It was originally called 100gb plus an unlimited add on, now just called unlimited, have seen over 200gb some months with not a murmur from "3"
