A thought occurred to me, I love my smart bulbs round the house, looking at MR16 bulbs they are rated at 12v, so could I just wire them direct into my boats 12v system, maybe a fuse before each one?
Would have all smart colour bulbs as I have a google home on there can turn off/set to colour by voice.

We have MR16 LEDs on our boat fitted direct to the 12v, no transformers, no extra fuses, or voltage didgeridoos. Our 12v charging voltage goes up to 14.8, and ditto solar. We have about a 100 throughout the boat and probably average about 1 bulb failure a year. If there is a problem it's usually the bulb connector and just needs a wiggle, but I do have spares. They've been fitted quite a few years now. We got them direct from China, via ebay cheap.

I use this between the boat supply and the tv amplifier.... I kept 'blowing' them up when the engine was running. Since installing this, it's I've been on the same (replacement) amplifier - I've also got a spare in stock for when/if it breaks.
