Think of the amount of oil changes needed. The answer to the 'why' question is because it annoys you. And yes, sending a rocket to the moon is in fact a bit tricky.

The Witch is following the Mars Landing and that brought to mind the question of whether the 'Moon Landings' were real or fake (staged in a studio)... which led me to wonder are there any cameras on The Moon pointing to Earth? From what I can see, the answer is Nope. Why not? Is it that hard to send a rocket to The Moon to install some cameras? And here's the first photo from Mars from the unit that's just landed, taken just a few minutes ago: I'm reasonably confident that this is where Mr Gerard "Incognito Bailiff" Mills, and the staff of Grey Knight (Enforcement) Ltd, are likely to be found, . . . all working in C&RT's new call centre !

NASA landed a Honda Express on Mars as far ago back as 1981.
