John, I have accepted the fact, No choice. Not shouting the odds. Just simply asking if anyone has seen any tangible benefit yet, all I see is increased costs and delays. I ordered a car part for a neighbour, turns out it was a german company, but cheap. It's now delayed at customs, won't arrive till early next week. He's wittering on about delays caused by migrants, I have pointed out that it's his own fault for voting to quit and for voting for bozzer in the hope that he would get the best deal ever. The other irony, he witters on about migrants yet his Mum is Maltese. No wonder he's cross. So, as I said in the initial post, there would be nothing but waffle and tripe, no tangible benefits for our hard working populace. As for wasting breath, you've been giving me reams of excuses. Why not finally accept the fact "You believed the lies." Imports from Europe are being delayed. My Kawasaki requires parts from the E.U. The main supplier of these(Belgian) has simply stopped exports to the UK. It’s causing some headaches on the Classic bike scene.

Of course there are problems ... change always brings teething problems.
You move house and it takes months to arrive at the comfortable, unchallenging, routine life you had before the packing started.
Does anyone truly belueve the EU will now write off the UK ... one of their largest markets ... or is it not likely that things will settle down and get back to a comfortable routine in time ?
Whether the upheaval was necessary is a very different discussion ... but things will improve as both the EU and UK want it.
Rog

Meanwhile, anyone have a 1970,s Kawasaki z1 exhaust system going spare?

Thanks for that John. What I’m actually after though is a 4-4 system. We had put together a club purchase for 7 systems, £9,000 worth in total and we have been told this week that because of new duty tax and paperwork involved they can’t supply. They cancelled order over in Belgium and have refunded all monies. Trouble is these things are specialist and manufacturers are few and far between. The guys that produce them are so busy that I guess it’s not worth the hassle for them with the paperwork when they can sell all they can produce elsewhere without hassle.
