I had letter from NHS today as I am a carer for a clinically vulnerable individual. Was a bit surprised due to my age (under 50) but they are looking after people it seems, which is good.
I will decline the invitation as there are other people who need the vaccine more than me and I am an antivaxxer anyway.

We can't in Wales but u can in UK..sis says to ignore the requirements on the NHS site She had hers today...we r twins and I must wait... yes we can make an appointment online once notified by the NHS. You have to call. Wales for you. I misread your original comment of booking. That's all. Er no I made my appointment before I was notified..... 12hrs before it was announced and 3 days before my letter was sent. If anyone wants to try before getting a letter here is the link www.nhs.uk/book-a-coronavirus-vaccination/do-you-have-an-nhs-numberIf you are not eligable it wont let you book but if you check every day you will get a booking before the letter arrives.

Does anyone think that QE2 actually got the same vaccine that any normal pleb would get? I feel there is some slightly bizarre shit going on here. She was born in Mayfair FFS. Monopoly is not rocket science

Figures suggest that the most vulnerable (those representing around 98% of deaths) have been vaccinated (where they accepted it). They're now jabbing those over 50 who agree to it. I don't see the need to make this divisive ... have it or not is a personal choice and we ALL will have to accept the consequences of our decision. Rog Wrong

I am an antivaxxer anyway. Why? Even as I type I know I'll regret asking...

I think for the good of society they should have left the pharmaceutical companies open to legal action in future.
Protecting them like this just shows blatantly obviously that the companies are working for the good of their shareholders. Nobody Else Matters.
This is obvious anyway but would it not have made more sense, given the other shit that has gone on, governments to legally force pharmaceutical companies to make vaccines with no profits.
Why is it that the big pharmaceutical companies are looked after like this ? Is this because big money is moving in as oil investment yields begin to decline?
Something stinks very badly here.
Is it even legal to suggest this is a setup or has this sort of comment been criminalised?

The agreement (at least for Astra Zenica) was made on that basis because for the first year they are selling the vaccine at cost then after that at making a profit only on 1st world countries ....... If they are going to be taking the risk, however slight, of legal action they would have to make a profit to pay for that possibility. No profit = we won't take any risk Big profit = we take the risk That seems both logical and fair to me
edit to add ...... legally forcing a company to make goods without profit is a recipe for absolute disaster and an abysmal level of output ........ It never goes well, forcing people to make things they don't want to

"Anyone who refuses the vaccine should be rounded up, put in a concentration camp and exterminated. It's only for the good of society."

Why we must get our jabs, all of us...

Why we must get our jabs, all of us... A cartoon doesn't, and shouldn't, override the concept of freedom of choice. You yourself might be content for others to order you around as they choose. You might even be indoctrinated and do their dirty work for them. To many of us though relative freedom is most important, we might feel that freedom is the very essence of humanity.

And some anarchists willingly believe they should be responsible for their conduct and not put others at risk if they can prevent it.

It's worth ignoring the age, currently 64, stated on the welcome page - just did that for Mrs twbm and, having answered all the questions honestly, i.e. not vulnerable, got a date for next Weds. She's 62.

It is still a choice? Oh yeah, it is. Phew. so not having the jab is a choice. Righto. So you can go around using terms like 'big pharma' in an angry sort of way but still be able to see that having the jab is probably a good thing for the individual. Which is also a choice.

I got my civilian vaccine offer yesterday in the post. Obviously they don't realise I have already been offered it months ago due to my work. This goes to show how deep undercover I am. The NHS doesn't realise I am an SIS agent. Which is good ! Anyway I will decline the offer. It's a shame I can't give it to someone else really as I'm sure there are people older than me (46) who would like to have a vaccine. ETA actually I might look into this as I would like to offer this to someone else. I bet the system won't allow it though.
