I thought it was going to be about the cancellation of women's tennis events.

Surely they could have crowdfunded the shortfall. Skinners Brewery launched a crowdfund to keep the brewery going last Monday for £100k they passed it by Thursday morning and have now stretched it to £150k (they are at £113k) so they can build an open air venue on the River. www.crowdfunder.co.uk/skinners-brewery

Beer is excellent I have 3 cases in the workshop as they were on 25% discount in Jan/Feb, was to much to resist.

Why doesn't Rishi Sunak's wife put her hand in her pocket to save a great British steam railway? Too busy looking after herself, I'd guess: "Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s wife – one of Britain’s wealthiest women – is said to have claimed up to £100,000 from the coronavirus furlough scheme for her business. Akshata Murthy, 41, thought to be richer than the Queen, has reportedly accepted the taxpayer handouts for boutique gym Digme Fitness Limited." Old news ! It's best not to worry too much about the personal wealth of the people in charge. The only reason they do the job is because they believe in the greater good rather than their own interests. Just feel Good about the fact people like that exist in real life. Let's face it they would sell half a dozen of their houses to ensure others "less fortunate" would have a chance of having one. Isn't it. It's incredible really.
