Looking at a woman's breasts That's all men abut to be banged up then. Speak for yourself! Well I suppose I do look at women’s breast sometimes and think “surely when they drive a car, the horn must sound every time they hit the brakes?”

Just watching RT, it's an interesting contrast to the BBC. Apparently the solution to this problem is to make actions that are considered to be misogynistic 'hate crimes'. I guess the important thing here is who decides what is misogynistic. It's been suggested that if a 'victim' considers an action to be misogynistic...then it is. Another suggestion is that there should be a defined list that might include, amongst other things: Telling a woman that she's attractive Winking at a woman Wolf whistling at a woman Looking at a woman's breasts Just imagine: woman goes out in a low cut top to enhance her body shape, as is her right. Man glances in her direction. Two possible outcomes: a/ young attractive man glances in her direction. Woman is happy, she made the most of what she has, the right type of man noticed. Life is good, woman feels very happy, not threatened. b/ Old/ fat/ ugly/ scruffy man delivers the same glance as the young stud. Woman is not happy. It's her right to dress as she does, she should be able to do this without unwanted attention. Police are called, old/ fat/ ugly/ scruffy man is arrested for a 'hate crime'. If you thought Covid created a dystopian society..you aint seen nothing yet. I can see life will be hard for you,as you predict.

I'm blessed. 'Any hole is a goal' sums me up, more or less. I doubt Jim’s scored any goals for years, unless they were home goals of course. I'm at an age now where any hole is a goal is a pragmatic outlook. Let's face it, if people are hungry enough they'll eat their own, there's evidence of this.

I'm at an age now where any hole is a goal. Does Barmouth have a golf course? Nah it's a fairly down to earth place, not enough hooray Henrys around to justify one. It does have a sailing club though, of which I'm a member.

Perhaps you could just put your willy through people's letterboxes then? Watch those snappy dogs, though - they might think it's a delivery from Jones the Butcher! Not possible. The only butcher in town has closed down, replaced with a sex shop.

Bloody sturgeon seems to have more lives than a cat. Listening to a bit of the fallout from all this today. Quite incredible. Politicians of all colours lining up stating that the sad thing about this case was that the women in question 'were let down'. Actually: the women in question were able to make their complaint against Salmond. This led to him being arrested and charged with various sexual offences. The court heard all the evidence and found Salmond not guilty. It seems that the only way to avoid complainants of sexual crimes 'being let down' is to find all those accused of sexual offences to be automatically guilty, regardless of any evidence. In other words, do away with courts. Instead, let's have summary justice without the need for courts. My, how we're regressing in this society.

Of course one must bear in mind that there is a difference between behaviour that is unlawful, and behaviour that is unwelcome. It certainly seems that AS was a bit of a letch, but not to the extent of being unlawful. And there is the problem of taking one person’s word over another, when there is no corroborating evidence. I suspect that one issue is that the whole “sexual assault” thing gets blown up to massive significance by society/social pressure, the media etc. If some old letch puts their hand on some woman’s knee, it seems that the woman is traumatised, life ruined, and she declines into mental illness. Whereas if some old letch(ess) put her hand on my knee unwanted, I would just ask her to remove it, if she didn’t I might slap it away. But whatever, it would all be forgotten in 1 minute and life would carry on as normal. So at the root of the problem is that there is so much information out their telling woman that the slightest wrong look or inappropriate touch is a reason to feel sexually violated and any right thinking woman would subsequently be traumatised. If they don’t, they must be a slag. All of which means that when there really is “proper” sexual assault, rape etc, it gets lost in all the wailing about “some bloke touched my knee in a pub”. A bit like the real issues of racism in the world, get lost in all the complaining about using the wrong words eg “coloured” or “black” instead of “people of colour” or whatever the latest fad is.

Crying wolf syndrome, in a way. As regards who was 'let down': Salmond had his reputation called into question and had to risk losing £500,000 defending himself. The apparently 'let down' accusers had their anonymity protected in law and the cost of pursuing their claim was borne by the state. The only way they could possibly have been 'let down' was if the perception is that the court came to the wrong decision. Maybe so but I wouldn't think it particularly 'progressive' to wish to revert to the likes of the witch trials to replace the modern justice system.
