If men are banned from the streets the first thing that will happen is that some women will stop dressing like slags. I mean, what's the point, when there's no one to dress for?
Every cloud has a silver lining, as they say.

If someone is determined or committed to killing someone does anyone actually think a curfew will prevent that?
I also though most people were murdered by people they knew and random murder victims are actually quite rare and perhaps that's why this has hit the headlines.

It's for men to control themselves.

What hasn't been mentioned is how a psycho is employed in the parliamentary and diplomatic protection squad, presumably armed.

Why do women walk the streets half naked? For example, skirt just millimetres below the ass, breasts virtually in danger of exposure, and thin fabric tops displaying nipples like bullets. I’ve just asked my better half, and she suggests if you’re putting it on offer, don’t be surprised by the attention you get.

So owners of expensive looking wide beams who moor on the towpath are 'asking for burglaries'.
That's simply flawed thinking.
The world can be cruel, but that doesn't alter the fact that the offender is wrong, NOT the victim.

Why can’t men control themselves? Why do these, often ugly, overweight, badly dressed, poorly educated and supremely bigoted men thing that any women would fancy them? Dressing scantily is a fashion choice, not “putting it on offer”. It may not be the fashion choice of all women but we should all defend their right to dress as they like without harassment from anyone.

Its a shame yet another thread degenerates into worthless bickering nut its not like this thread is of national importance or anything. For the record, Ms Everard was not exactly dressed in her skimpies. What people wear makes no difference, neither age or perceived beauty.

I’m on the tube midsummer minding my own business. A woman gets on, sits opposite me with the flimsiest of clothing and happily displaying that she had shaved that morning, whose the bloody pervert? It ain’t me, oh, and this is something I have actually experienced. If you really want to solve something, you have to approach all of the issues. If you think it’s about fashion, I’m just thinking you’re really naive. If you don’t want harassment, dress appropriately. Simple.

There doesn't seem to be a male equivalent of Slag, such behaviour is most likely put down as "he's a right lad" or similar. I can wander around in shorts or whatever as much as I please, I expect women and quaysider to resist the temptation, I know they struggle.

No, you’re just going into thick mode again, as you always do when you cannot think of a sensible reply.

so you condone dangling a tasty fruit in front of every man who may admire a beautiful woman, and then pulling it away just as he is tempted to take a bite. there's a word for that - prick-teasing.
perhaps you should consider the way a man's hormones work - it's the way nature works and is part of the wonderful world of procreation ............. and of course dressing the way bedruthan describes is the result of the woman's hormones at work in much the same way.

Rog You need to think before you post sometimes, because it’s virtually impossible to give you a sensible reply when you’re being stupid.
