This seems to be quite an interesting story I wonder how it will progress. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-56391818Ireland may be about to stop using AZ Covid vaccine due to concerns about serious side effects. It's sad to see so many terrible mistakes on the BBC site. They obviously don't have a proof reader. "Precautionary principal" oh dear !

I think it’s great! The more countries that stop using the AZ vaccine for specious reasons, the more there is for the U.K.

The AZ vaccine we are using is made in the UK, the ones the rest are using isnt, I wonder if something has gone wrong in the process abroad? India one of the biggest makers hasnt reported problems so that is separate to the European makers, I have had mine and am OK, so we will have to wait and see what happens when people start dying in even larger numbers in Europe, which seems to be the case even as we speak

A couple of people, out of millions, have had blood clot issues some time after having the AZ vaccine. If you looked at a similar number of people who had not had the AZ vaccine, the same number would have suffered from blood clots. It is just politicians scaremongering and being anti-English. Which is fine by me if it means we get more vaccine quicker.

I think there are a hell of a lot of people in the EU who are desperate to try and find anything to try and make them look less like the incompetant wazacks that they have proved to be

EU is still living in the last century.
They think it is unfair for the UK to make a trade deal with the USA unless the EU is included. They are stalling on making any trade deals with the UK. It is time we built a wall down the English Channel and the Irish Sea - we should ask Trump for the blueprints and ask him to give us a turnkey quotation for building it.
My bruv moved to Brittany 3 years ago. He keeps his clocks on UK time because he is far west of Vienna which is the only place where European Time matches real (sun) time, and despite being bilingual he only watches UK TV. He loves the Breton people and the environment but hates EU and Paris authoritarianism.

I think there are a hell of a lot of people in the EU who are desperate to try and find anything to try and make them look less like the incompetant wazacks that they have proved to be According to a study that examined how informed consent is given to COVID-19 vaccine trial participants, disclosure forms fail to inform volunteers that the vaccine might make them susceptible to more severe disease if they're exposed to the virus. "Vaccines for SARS, MERS and RSV have never been approved, and the data generated in the development and testing of these vaccines suggest a serious mechanistic concern: that vaccines designed empirically using the traditional approach (consisting of the unmodified or minimally modified coronavirus viral spike to elicit neutralizing antibodies), be they composed of protein, viral vector, DNA or RNA and irrespective of delivery method, may worsen COVID-19 disease via antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE)," the paper states. "This risk is sufficiently obscured in clinical trial protocols and consent forms for ongoing COVID-19 vaccine trials that adequate patient comprehension of this risk is unlikely to occur, obviating truly informed consent by subjects in these trials." "Antibody-dependent enhancement means that rather than enhance your immunity against the infection, the vaccine actually enhances the virus' ability to enter and infect your cells, resulting in more severe disease than had you not been vaccinated." "Fear is a powerful argument. It will (and already has) shut off the remains of critical and logical thinking in most people, accepting almost any measure the "authorities" demand." www.sott.net/article/445095-How-COVID-19-vaccine-can-destroy-your-immune-system The 'new normal' I suspect foxy if you want to visit the boat you will have to have the vaccine. my passport ran out last year have not renewed it as it seems pointless, maybe next year or the year after the EU might have vaccinated its population that or they will have died

They will have to go some to catch up with the rate we have managed to die, qwon’t they!

Not going to bother with the vaccine if only the az is being offered. Having done a fair bit of research, I don’t feel comfortably safe receiving it, especially as I have dvt issues anyway. The pfizer would be preferable if I really have to be vaccinated, if that’s not an option then so be it.

Scary stuff to say the least

I wouldn’t be surprised to see it creep up again over the next month or so.

Went to the greasy spoon caff with my friend today (for takeaway) and they said they are expecting to reopen in May!
I thought it would have been sooner than that.

I was looking up entry requirements for the UK today, but the information is vague... apparently a 'Covid' test is required on Day 2 and Day 8 after arrival. 10 days 'quarantine' is required after arrival. This begs the questions; 1) how can you 'quarantine' after arrival? how can you even leave the airport? are you allowed to travel to 'a place of quarantine' (your home?) 2) how are you supposed to go and get tested on Days 2 and 8 if you are 'in quarantine'?
perhaps if you read a grown-up journal you would know the answers.

Kids are back in school its a given that the numbers will rise Steve, I was charging the car yesterday we went for a walk with the dogs whilst it did its stuff, kids all over playing together, back at car we had a few minutes to wait whilst it finished charging, watched different groups of kids meeting and greeting with cuddles and no social distancing! Until we are all vaccinated I think we are shagged to be blunt
