My stern rope snapped over the winter, luckily someone tied the boat back up, but looks like the time it spent untied put extra pressure on the center line, which tied loosely just in case, so I now need two new lines this week before we depart, I guess I could stop at one of the marinas and grab some but I guess the prices will be inflated.
Does anyone have any decent priced sites they use?
Cant remember the thickness I have on board at the minute, got it off ebay when I got the boat in 2015.
Cheers

I used 16mm synthemp, got a 100m bobbin for £120 5 years ago. I see it's doubled in price since, though all I can see is a by the metre price, not per 100m, which should be less. Still, they don't call em swindleries for nowt. It's lovely to handle and use, floating too. I've had to cut and splice the centre lines at the point where they wear on the lock coping stones.

Just bought ropes and stern fender from Trafalgar Marine at Newmills ... a delivery charge of £10 (arrived within 48 hours) but the prices were pretty good.

I use staplespun polypropylene. 14mm.
Cheap rope, durable, floats doesn't get clammy but it is quite rough to handle so it depends on how your hands are.
It's usually white and much stronger than the blue split film polyprop "British Waterways rope".

I'm sure Midland Swindlers sell ropes in 1 metre lengths, just tie enough lengths together and you are sorted...

Went with Tradline rope at Braunston, ebay stuff delivery was estimated by Friday, cant really afford to risk not having decent ropes.
