Looking at a postage cost to Finland on ebay.co.uk I see things have changed. Import cost? What 'import cost'? Oh ... Brexit! "Brexit for private persons - Finnish Customs When you order goods from the UK, all consignments delivered to you from the UK that are worth over 22 euros must be declared from 1 January 2021 and value added tax (VAT) must be paid. The rate is usually 24 per cent. Furthermore, you may have to pay customs duty for your consignment." Not just Finland: "Do you pay import duty from UK to EU? Before Brexit, UK consumers were free to buy items from anywhere in the EU without incurring import duties and other charges. Anyone in the UK receiving a gift from the EU worth more than £39 will now face a bill for import VAT at 20%." Don't you lot go sending me any gifts!! 🤣😂😂🤣😭 Now, if you had only listened to Jim. You'll just have to suck it up now, buttercup. Ooh, it's tempting, what's dirt cheap here with high EU import duties?

I shall simply write 'Not known at this address' on any suspicious packages. And 'return to Jim Riley' if they are ticking. Have the prices of good imported from the EU gone up in the UK? Not the sort of thing I normally follow. And does it mean the EU will be importing less stuff Made in the UK (not that much is!) because of the import duties? "As a "Remoaner" I would like to apologise for my daily rants for nearly five years about what 'an act of national self harm' Britain was inflicting on itself... I totally underestimated & understated what an unholy fucking disaster the Brexit catastrophe was going to be." Post Brexit British Exports Explained I've seen posts by several whining quitlings, "it's not fair, Boris promised free trade, nowt extra to pay, a jam and cream cake that we could eat as well as look at". Send the excess charge bill to peterboat. By the way, on your ceaseless trawling of t'interweb, have you come across any solid benefits of brexit yet, it's getting on for 3 months and no sign of the promised prosperity yet.

What do you reckon to Bozzer's outburst about capitalism and greed? He's seen the light at last. Freudian slip or what? His minders are denying it now. But we all know he's turning socialist.

I can see why they are trying to escape to greener pastures, it's getting grim. If only someone could point to a tangible monetary benefit of brexit? Then they might stay.

Mind you didn't he say he expects covid restrictions for as long as he lives? Now there's a thought, how could Bozzer best serve his country if that's true?

Stay for as long as possible and keep up making the mistakes - maybe people will start thinking twice about re-electing the Cons the longer he is in charge.

There are import duties due on (some) goods into the UK now from the EU. It’s causing headaches on various items I need to buy for my Kawasaki’s. Some EU suppliers have simply stopped exporting to us.

Brexit is a longer term investment for a better Britain in the future. Short term thinking is rife in the western world, it's one of the main reasons why China will be economically dominant throughout the world, if it isn't already.
