59ft is about the maximum length for somewhere on the canals. Maybe the alimentary canal in this case. I wonder what they do with such creatures. I guess it gets dissected and investigated and used in Covid vaccines or some other weird and wonderful science stuff. In that picture it looks like it could be quite nice lightly boiled with an olive oil drizzle and perhaps some sun dried tomatoes and rocket based salad.
