2nd jab due tomorrow, but we now learn that there's no more doses left in our municipality.

'Adds a few percent to the cost. Why not?' In case you weren't aware, food banks are booming. This hasn't escaped the attention of the left who often describe this as a travesty, disgrace etc., that people in Britain have to resort to charity in order not to go hungry. If all houses have to be upgraded to new standards, who do you think will pay for this? I was talking about new houses. Those who are buying a new house aren't likely to be in the queue at the food bank. You are conflating two different things for effect. Once fitted ASHP are cheaper than other electric heating to run, comparable to gas. What is your solution to global warming, what are you contributing? The food bank issue is down to low pay, major companies being subsidised through tax credits instead of distributing more of the profit to those who create it. So, we make new houses unaffordable to those who can barely afford them now. Nice work. It's not a competition as to who does the least damage but seeing as you ask: I've had no kids, once I've popped my clogs there will be no offspring of mine to cause further damage. I don't own a car, I put a fiver of petrol in my bike every month. I'm not heating a large house with endless rooms, gas and electric combined around Β£40 a month. My solution to global warming is to end the growth element requirement of capitalism via tighter lending and higher interest rates, together with ceasing the encouragement of procreation via the benefits system. If other measures are needed there should be carbon credits system with everyone receiving an equal amount. Then, those with lots of money would no longer be able to be gross polluters at a relatively low cost. There would be a market for these credits, those not using all theirs (poorer people) would be able to sell some of theirs to gross polluters. Then, those who cause the most damage would have to pay through the nose to continue with their lifestyles and poorer people would be less poor. Who knows, it might even make food banks redundant. One thing is for sure: if the chosen way is via regulation e.g. electric cars, expensive heating systems the poor will get poorer, nothing is more certain. Lower wages are caused by the globalisation of supply, first and foremost.

My mum's version of it was "He was poor but he was honest, isn't it a blooming shame, it's the rich what gets the credit and the poor what gets the blame".

Foxy, you remind me of the guy that used to stand and shout 'the end is nigh, repent now' whilst holding a billboard saying the same at Oxford Circus, occasionally he would turn his billboard around and start quoting whatever passage from the bible. Even my parents who were religios called him a nutter and explained to me not everything people say has to be listened to! I found the guy whose strapline was "are you a winner or a sinner?" to be most amusing. The first time anyway.

Waffling Pedant alert! I forgot that I should have used the term "climate change". The Chinese are moving rapidly to cut emissions. Whatever it doesn't absolve you of your responsibility. Two wrongs don't make a right. Β The climate has always been changing.Β Last night it snowed, this afternoon it was sunny. And last summer over Europe it was the hottest summer ever. While it's cool and shady with your head buried in the sand you risk an enormous kick up the arse.

A Tory bed time story.
So Carrie made Boz rattle a begging bowl for posh magnolia emulsion, donations in the bowl turn out dodgy, so it's just a loan, that's dodgy too, so Bozzer paid it back, Carrie forgoes a frock or two, nothing to see here move along. Look at that pretty Egress over there, lovely plumage!

"with many having been physically forced to have it without their consent"

That's a serious comment to make. Do you have any proof this has occurred?
Sounds a bit like a story made up by someone seeking web traffic.

I reckon it's possible that people who are unable to give consent could be getting the vaccine but it's quite normal for people under MHA sections to be given medication without their express consent
Fair point about employers requiring vaccines that is a bit dodgy but I guess it is up to the employer ultimately.
Interesting to read all over the news outlets about India descending into a nightmare situation.
It's all slightly bizarre bearing in mind what a minute percentage of people actually ever get any effects from all this but there we are.
I wonder if the real pandemic is the internet.

@bedruthan obviously you approve of his behaviour. You always respond with drivel when you are wrong.

The news coming from India is heart breaking. I watch the news once a day after Pointless.. apart from that I let it go. You can drown in gloom unless you control its input. The desperate situation out there is the stuff of Horror movies, yet its real Poverty, overcrowding and I guess many other factors has seen the spread of the Pandemic..
