Butting in,if anyone comes near Ellesmere-an outdoor coffee would be great.π When I finally manage to escape with time to roam I'll see where you are and maybe we could meet up.. I am making plans for a roam up country...There are too many people I have not seen for so long.

Belated Birthday returns Patty... sorry I 'm late to the party, I've not had my laptop on for a few days. I suspect by now, the wine will all be gone and you'll be opening NEXT years stocks ;-)

Belated Birthday returns Patty... sorry I 'm late to the party, I've not had my laptop on for a few days. I suspect by now, the wine will all be gone and you'll be opening NEXT years stocks ;-) As if.... son brought me a lovely bottle of red.. apparenty its son in laws favourite... Its stored upstairs waiting sons next visit ..he left last night and managed to hit the fence. I guess on a plus that'll keep me busy bodging a repair I just knows gonna get critical appraisal from those who are DIY experts. ... Could always stick up a sign 'Look on my works yee mighty and dispair'(Ozymandis..PB Shelley) You know when u get that feeling that summits gonna happen one day and he will demolish corner of the fence getting van out..well that day finally arrived. I'm not bothered cos I'll get rid of the bit thats a bit tight on his way out..just gotta hope though the next bit dont become his new target.

We have an ornamental 12" high garden wall either side of the drive, which over time Jane has widened at both sides. Perhaps keeping the width of your drive to your son's 'design' is best patty ... that's what I've done with our wall, in the hope she can't hit it again Rog

Theres an easy option which I just know he'll remove if not the next time some time after and theres the slightly more hassle option. This involved sawing though some very thick horizontal supports to give him an extra foot or so to turn.....suspect this is what I'll do. Trouble is one of the supports runs above my head level so I'll have to get step ladder out and my saw has seen better days(served me well up Horror House)... not today gonna finish bathroom instead as those guys never completed it
