Want to fit a flexible hose to my water pump as it’s a little louder than I’d like. Not trying to make it silent, but it is very noisy. What hose can I fit to the connector in pic. Also what’s the best way to connect the other end to 15mm hep pipes? Cheers.

Have you got the water pump screwed straight onto wood?
I found some rubber under it helped reduce the noise.

It’s a Jabsco. Also have a spare. It’s mounted on a rubber pad. I’m pretty sure the pumps not the problem, it’s just sending a vibration along the solid pipe work. I have replaced a 12 inch section each side of pump with flexible and it quietened down as required. Trouble is the soft pipe I had laying around is to soft and it’s collapsing inwards between pump and water tank. Also can’t get it to seal properly onto the barbed connectors. Probably need some reinforced pvc type hose but was wondering if anyone knew exactly what and where to buy.

I've just sed green garden hose and /or a clear plastic variety, again a reinforced twin wall. Jubilee clip to hold it on.

Thanks for that. I do have those fittings as spares. That flexible is an idea but I think from memory it’s too stiff to loop around as I wish it to. I’m wondering if 13 mm/ 1/2 inch pvc type water hose will stretch over 15mm hep tube.

Normal garden hose works well for that and goes nicely over the 15mm copper or HEP / PEX pipe.
Couple of jubilee clips each end sorted.
Don't think it will reduce the noise a lot though.
Eta one jubilee is okay but I always like to see two on something like that where the solid part is smooth rather than barbed in the case of plain 15mm pipe.

Or you could try some silicon rubber reinforced hose from ASAP comes in variety of sizes, sold by the metre NB very bendy for tight bends. Phil

This connector is just pushed onto the 15mm pipe I take it? No other seals needed?

JG speedfit have o rings inside. Only problem I have had when using them is if the pipe is cut roughly it dislodges the o-ring. Pipe needs to be cut cleanly not with a hacksaw. Or if it is done with a hacksaw then tidied up afterwards.
