Shows about 7 rpm whatever the engine speed.
I've spent a bit of time today sorting engine stuff out.
It was working fine this morning.
Is it likely to be an electric connection that has come adrift/been knocked (hopefully).
Barrus shire 45 if that helps.

Usually they run from the alternator via an incredibly technical thing which I am not allowed to describe on here due to being under the official secrets act.
7 rpm will be 700.
DAMHIKT.

Not likely to be the domestic alternator as that is currently sitting elsewhere - again... fecking piece of crap!

It's probably to do with the 5G implant then.
I could tell you about it but I would have to kill you first and immediately afterwards I would have to kill myself as well as anyone I the immediate area.
I don't think you would like this on your conscience if you have one.
So I will withdraw from the technical discussion post haste.

Slipping fan belt? It doesn't sound or look like a slipping fan belt on the starter alternator, I'd expect at least some fluctuation in revs if that was the reason (ignore the stuff about the domestic alternator).

Does it stick with the low rpm when you rev if up?
One of my engines has "rpm hesitancy" it needs a little blip on the throttle to get it working.
Alternator related I believe .

The dial shows the same rpm whatever the engine is doing and however I treat the engine revs (either slowly or fast changes).

Key switch in first position with buzzer sounding - 0
Engine started - 700
