I was feeling fine earlier, before it clouded over I managed a few hours of successful work on Shapfell, getting her ready to put back in the water.
When it started to threaten rain I decided it was time for lunch.
I then looked at the laptop, and came across this article.
I doubt I have to explain why I am now feeling really down. I can't believe the sheer bloody incompetence ......... This happened in DECEMBER !!!

Last one i heard of was when it took them 4 months to get some stone blocks off the tow path and out the canal after a car had hit the bridge. And ill join in with the get pissed i reckon John

The Thames is terrible ! The Thames is terrible ! I must write this out a hundred times and post it regularly. The Thames is much nicer than EA Anglian waterways, which is a sometimes navigable flood control system Nicely navigable this weekend 👍 River taxi duty into Ferry Meadows then a High speed run down to the Dog and back for a decent bit of alfresco grub on Saturday. Much slower regulation 5 knot cruise into the City centre with an Old Mk 1 Freeman yesterday - mooch around the city then back for a BBQ. In between I managed to find the time to weld a scaffold pole to the bank side mooring ring bracket and set up slings/straps on rising rings so we are now much safer at times of flood. Good productive weekend 👍
