OK, so I am hoping to move soon, once ducks are in a row, I'll be at Torksey visitor moorings for my next food delivery, but the postcode and address is unknown, to me. Why on earth are these things kept secret. Phoned the 0303040etc number, he suggests Regional Office might know. Search for regional office phone number, no results. Its the worst website I have ever come across for paying customers. Its designed for other people, you know, the ones who don't pay directly. I don't need to know about covid, if I want to know about Covid I go to a govt website. RANT OVER what is the address of Torksey visitor mooring, it must have a postcode, there appears to be road access. Thanks I put this in this thread, cos I suspect someone from Crt management might read it. I can't wait five days, that takes me in to next week. Do they really need five days to answer a simple question.

Yes, but is that going to bring my delivery to the moorings, I understand from this morning's rather agitated driver that he has no access on phone to the instructions I put in the box "delivery instructions" so he ended up on wrong side of the bridge this a. m. Nothing drastic, as I could see where he was, and crossed over

There are many things that CRT should be held accountable for but I wouldn't list the postcode design amongst them.

Must be very frustrating for the drivers.

If the delivery driver can't read the 'instructions', but only the postcode address, it's no point me knowing three words, such precision is of no use to him. I have to book my slot this week, so this is why I need the postcode of the moorings, as the driver will go to the Lock keeper's house if I use his postcode.

Must be very frustrating for the drivers. It's Morissons. I don't want to get the guy in to trouble, he was half in kinda meltdown as it was, others have phoned me, one even delivered to the boat when the office forgot to give him my phone number (they had a different system they used in full lockdown). The system works perfectly if you have a house number, not so perfectly if you meet in a pub car park and there are two pubs with same postcode!

seems a bit optimistic to expect every field, land or bit of the towpath to have a postcode.
shirley the reasonable thong to do is to nominate a location that is easy to find and to be there during the allocated time-slot ................ like a pub garden maybe

Have you thought of ringing Torksey Lock and asking them ? I have indeed, but I'm not sure I want to bother him with such trivia. It was hard enough confirming the mobile numbers for the lock keepers, just to make sure I had the right ones on my phone, and cancelling my trip only to discover the lockies had already done it for me. It's still raining now, so I think I'll have to wait a few days to let the river level settle. John Kettley seems to have been subbed by the Met Office, but current weather is 'changeable', then summer begins.
