I don't. The thing is that this election is a bit of a damp squib in that nothing much has changed in the political scenery. SNP aren't going to get an overall majority, they will however be backed by those particularly poisonous people the Greens. So as you say, she is just gobbing off.

.................... she is just gobbing off.
oh! I got it wrong. Overactive imagination on my part I suppose.
I thought Bedruthan said she was gobbling off and I was wondering who was the unfortunate recipient.

"In March last year, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon signed a deal with two Chinese companies that could have been worth up to £10bn. But she didn’t tell anyone about it. This is unusual. The SNP government usually would put out a press release about the opening of an envelope. But days after the deal was signed, the top news stories on the government website were on changes to dog fouling fines and an update on the Scottish beaver population." “Nice Beaver”!!!!! 😂😂😂

If they got independence would they still be able to afford to offer free prescriptions and university places and whatever else we pay for? Would they expect London to still finance them? Can we get lots of Mexican to build a wall.

I wish the UK was just that... United!
This devolution of Wales and Scotland has only helped more and more power crazed little idiots, feel like even bigger fish in their ponds. It really can't be cost effective - not to mention the confusion that has occurred due to differing ideas/restrictions during the covid crisis. That welsh pratt pulling one way, the power crazed dwarf the other ... Borris must have felt like he's been trying to heard cats!
I've only just realized WHY a bottle of Gin in Aldi LLangollen is £3.20 dearer than it is in England - cause of that T-Total fools thoughts on unit price etc. BUt it back fires, cause anyone with half a brain will go to Owestry (if they are using the road) or Ellesmere (by boat like us) and SPEND their money there instead, so WHAT does that achieve, other than to drive folks to SPEND out of Wales wherever they can?

'Ellis Booze Cruises' does sound like a business.
Although hygeine standards might need to be moderated...

Boris, in his lust for permanent Tory power, is engineering the dissolution of the UK. Which really will just be a poor little england. Just you wait, he'll do a Putin and award himself perpetual power.
All this fuss over a democratic vote expressing the will of the people? Now where have I heard that this must be fulfilled, even with a miniscule majority gained by lies and duplicity?

I’d still rather give them their independence referendum, but make it clear beforehand that if they gain independence, Scotland cannot use the pound as currency, they take their share of debt and they can't expect England to stand as guarantor.

I’d still rather give them their independence referendum, but make it clear beforehand that if they gain independence, Scotland cannot use the pound as currency, they take their share of debt and they can't expect England to stand as guarantor. I'd let them use the Pound as long as they like. As long as they are using the pound they are bound by the monetary policy of the Union. In effect, in perpetual financial servitude to the Union. They won't like that. Otherwise, given that they are desperate to swap one set of controlling power for another this rules out the creation of a Scottish currency. The Poond perhaps. They will have to adopt the Euro, no ifs or buts. Even those who spend every evening watching 'Braveheart', injecting heroin and swigging on bottles of Buckfast in order to further highten the nationalistic pleasures within 'Braveheart' won't like that. Because, bizarrely, although the Scots appear to love the EU, they aren't so keen on its currency. Bizarre because the single currency of the block is very much within the ethos of the EU. Liking some aspects but not others is contradictory. Contradiction and hypocrisy from Scotland? I guess we shouldn't be too surprised. Anyway: should Scotland go on its merry way it's in for a shock. Rather than receiving £1600 extra for each citizen, having paid in on average £300 less it will suddenly be faced with being a net contributor to the grossly excessive EU pot. You do wonder how they will continue with their 'progressive' policies such as free university education (unless you happen to be English of course), free heroin substitute injections, etc. etc.
