So.... you're saying there will be no more face masks required in shops and on public transport, and the 'vaccination' programme (they're after kids in August!) will stop, and no Covid tests will be required for travel or employment? No employers will be insisting on their employees having to be 'vaccinated'? If not, then your 'freedom' will still be a delusion. There can be no freedom for those who have been 'jabbed' with the Covid-concoctions - you won't be able to get that genetic material out of your body. Ever. You will be given an illusion of freedom and be happy. This is what he is saying as this is all we know, Step 4 - not before 21 June Social contact By Step 4 which will take place no earlier than 21 June, the government hopes to be in a position to remove all legal limits on social contact. Business, activities and events We hope to reopen remaining premises, including nightclubs, and ease the restrictions on large events and performances that apply in Step 3. This will be subject to the results of a scientific Events Research Programme to test the outcome of certain pilot events through the spring and summer, where we will trial the use of testing and other techniques to cut the risk of infection. The same Events Research Programme will guide decisions on whether all limits can be removed on weddings and other life events. As we move through each of these phases in the roadmap, we must all remember that COVID-19 remains a part of our lives. We are going to have to keep living our lives differently to keep ourselves and others safe. We must carry on with ‘hands, face, space’. Comply with the COVID-Secure measures that remain in place. Meet outdoors when we can and keep letting fresh air in. Get tested when needed. Get vaccinated when offered. If we all continue to play our part, we will be that bit closer to a future that is more familiar. I'm wondering how fresh air might be let in in modern office buildings which (unnecessarily) are centrally air conditioned. Similarly with trains. I used to wonder why things went that way. Britain doesn't have an extreme climate. Windows that open together with a heating system (for use only when required) are suitable for all of our homes so should be suitable for our offices and public transport.

How IS your new home Clinton Cool ? Are you glad to you made the move? A few issues to deal with. Previous owner, a builder, had bodged fixes on some rotten windows. Bit of putty, paint over. Terrible job but I've sorted it now. Chimneys at both ends letting in water during storms. I've fixed one of them myself other is waiting for a bloke who's prepared to use mountaineering gear when repointing it, rather than erect scaffolding. Scaffolding very expensive up here, there's no vehicle access. Had water coming in at the bottom of a wall in January during 3 days of heavy rain. Mop and bucket for several hours prevented any damage. Turns out a bloke higher up did some works last year that partially blocked a culvert. Heavy rain lead to an overflow which went down the public steps behind my house. My house is lower than the steps, the water found its way in. Bloke who did the work has refused to fix it but council have dug a hole and opened up the culvert below his property so no more water down since. So, more than a few issues but most of them sorted. Loving it here. Second home owners get a hard time off the locals, they have caused house price inflation. A few were reported to the police when they visited during lockdown. Locals fine with me, made some friends. It's the kind of place where if you forgot to lock your door it wouldn't be much to worry about. Having lived around Manchester most of my life and suffering from more than a few crimes against me this feeling is very liberating.

But repeatedly it is being said by government sources that TO DATE there is nothing to suggest the 21 June restriction lift won't go ahead. So.... you're saying there will be no more face masks required in shops and on public transport, and the 'vaccination' programme (they're after kids in August!) will stop, and no Covid tests will be required for travel or employment? No employers will be insisting on their employees having to be 'vaccinated'? If not, then your 'freedom' will still be a delusion. You will be given an illusion of freedom and be happy. The face covering act started on 24th july 2020 and is valid for a year. So technically it would still be in force until 23rd July 2021 and unless legislation is changed will run out.

I don't mind getting a vaccine three times a day for the rest of my life, or wearing a face shield to keep people safe, or using an app to allow me entry anywhere I want to go. It is fine, it is for safety. It is for the public health. I will go along. I don't mind. Well, there ya go. You will own a face mask and be happy. Does your employer provide masks, or are you supposed to buy your own? Do you change it every few hours or just scrunch it up, shove it in your pocket, and use the same one for a week? I have always thought cloth handkerchiefs revolting - people blow their noses into them, then put them in their pockets. Yuck.

My employer does provide the single use ones and has given us all 5 washable ones as well. Personally I use my wind smock. My only requirement at work is to wear one in the communal areas, in the warehouse while working we don't need to wear one although some do. Saying that I'm legally exempt but choose to wear one because there aren't actually many medical reasons to prevent wearing one.

I got washable face masks but tbh the single use ones better with glasses as they do not steam up

Over the last few days I have noticed more and more press attention that the Virus came from a lab in China! Biden has ordered that it is investigated and as I have said all along it will be proven in the end that China is responsible for all the deaths from the virus! For me that should mean a total ban on all products from China both selling to them and buying from them what does the board think?

If it is ever proven then yes strong action will need to be taken, but it would probably mean war. China is in a very strong position on the world stage at the moment. It wouldn’t be pursuing all the exspanionist policies if it was otherwise.

That will kill the EV market Not to mention Apple etc.

Developments in chip manufacture might point to the future (some very strange sounding scirnce is being spoken of in professional journals.) Just the other day I posted an article about a high performance motor for electric vehicles that does not use any exotic materials at all.
I don't think the worlds dependancy on China is going unnoticed
All these things point to a weaning away from China for the rest of the world ....... many countries have been watching how China has been behaving in the East and also the behaviour towards Australia
