I have found a slot to get narrowboat out, Monday am to Thursday pm. Forecast reasonable, temp 11 to 15 C, some showers. Two paint suppliers recommended Jotamastic 90 for use on previously two pack epoxied surface with not perfect prep. Ie high prrsuure wash and wire brush where required. I would need to test to ensure that original was indeed two pack, SML provide a test, thinners on a cloth essentially. I seem to think from data sheets that curing is related to temperature, and that full immersion is not recommended within two days at average temperature. Not mentioned by the paint companies, does this mean I can have it out, washed, prepped and a coating on rubbing strakes etc on day 1, two coats on day 2, and back in water on day 4? It won't be fully cured for some time, I understand this, but can it complete curing in water? Ot should I wait till mid summer, when temps might be 20 to 30?

I don't think that is a workable timetable.
On day one you may me later getting into the dock than you think, you certainly will not get it cleaned off, wire brushed, dusted off and dry enough to put the first, most important, coat on, all in the remainder of the day.
Why do you want 3 coats on rubbing strakes? Its meant to be scratched off.
Why spoil the job rushing, If it goes back in too soon you might have just not bothered and throw the money in the cut.
What will you do if it needs a minor welding job or new anodes when you get it out? Bottom rudder bearing in perfect order?

Agreed, will wait till weather more stable as well, just too unpredictable, plus had to fork out for batteries, so cash flow crisis imminent, also the marina are not really keen on us impoverished narrowboaters, labour is £70 per hour, thats like £400 per day!
