After 25 years I painted our mushrooms the same colour as the coachlines. I resisted the spots.

Oh how i laugh when i see the funny painted mushroom vents, they look like real mushrooms i chuckle.. They should be put in the same bin as Rosie and Jim dolls! There is a subtle difference between mushrooms and toads tools. There will be caricatures as with everything in life. Just think (not too much) about Hudson narrowboats Properly done mushroom vents giving a nod to poisonous / hallucinogenic fungus are really cool. Man. While we are on the topic I think it is worth pulling in the Andyberg caricature roses and castle panels. It's all interesting as a study if you can be arsed to do studying but ultimately it is incredibly infra dig and hard to validate. only having a small boat and a large roof box I'd fit more but there's not mushroom.

I have both of these. Despite my "you have to look like a tramp for the country" shabby appearance I do take the cleaning of copper alloys very seriously. Brasso is just wrong. Mass market appeal I suppose and understandable but still wrong.

I painted my chrome mushrooms in dark grey a few weeks after Andy left - he was obsessed with polishing them... to me, just a burden and I like grey anyway.

I've also half a mind to do the Chrome porthole surrounds too although I get lucky with having them hidden behind the magnetic fly screening.
