It's worth bearing in mind that loads and loads of people probably aren't remotely bothered how much data "the system" gathers. They just get on with life, enjoy doing what they enjoy doing and get annoyed about things which annoy them. They are lucky. Being watched over really boils my piss. They should all just fuck off. I'm envious of those who don't mind being watched over.

The notion that someone who thinks differently to them shouldn't even have any friends. Typically socialist. Psychological abuse and putting others down is Jim's speciality. Labour Party member. Heil Stalin! Here's the video again for those who want to see a glimpse of our future/present (although I do understand some members of Thunderboat have a less than 18-minute attention span): The jolly joker is more than happy to wash his dirty linen over on the other side. Underhand and nasty.

It’s not about his post, it’s about another thread on the same subject he has started multiple threads on already. Although the thread title suggests it is entirely about Covid, its more do with data harvesting and a chilling supposition of how such data is mined from the rich seams made available by our own actions. Produced by the Financial Times. The tag line is worth reading. "We gave up our privacy to fight Covid-19, can we get it back? An FT film starring Lydia West and Arthur Darvill in collaboration with Sonia Friedman Productions and supported by Luminate. An interrogation scene explores how Covid-19 has exposed the tension between the need for data to track and trace, and the right to privacy and justice." Bollocks, it’s another thread created by the doom mongering fox, when he has multiple other threads all about the same thing.. when you click unread items 70% is Covid or anti crt threads, it’s a boating forum ffs. It’s getting to the point where you question what the point of this place is anymore.

It's much more of a forum where boaters, ex boaters, wannabe boaters and the interested in boats can discuss anything they want. Whatever our varied interests and views, It's more like the bar of a decent boaters pub.
However I would agree that the Fox seems to think it's the covid doom and gloom forum which pisses me off as well

plus other ones you have spilled onto .... and without any deep research I can think of posts on "Wages for the lower skilled workers" "Huh yea what is it good for" and "Chesham" plus of course "shoutbox"

In fairness what the fox and Mr D post these days is just skimmed over or ignored ... unfortunately it means that when the day dawns (or should I say IF the day dawns) that either post anything of interest, I for one will miss it. I feel it's a risk worth taking, thanks to both of their tireless, monotonous efforts. The boy who cried wolf Rog

People who think we lost our right to privacy in the fight against covid are very naive.
We lost that fight years ago.
