Forgot to say I use crown oils HVO in the boat for the genny it has a 10 year shelf life and costs 79 pence a litre delivered, the last batch we had delivered hadnt had the dye added and is now powering my Type 25 1.9 TDI very nicely and cleanly. Its allegidly higher octain and calories as well

LOL its never going to happen 12 sites in the UK sell it one near me the hydrogen they produce is for industry and sheffield uni who is experimenting with it conclusion is its a waste of time and have you seen the price of the car? will make you weep I wouldn’t write off hydrogen just yet. I know for a fact that MIRA, a leading car research centre is spending lots of time and money on its development. They know more about it than you or I.

I think Elon Musk is worried as he has resorted to calling them "fool cells". No need to use this sort of language about something which is of no importance I do occasionally see a Mirai in London I think they are minicabs.

Musk being one of them.

Exactly. Calling the Japanese 'fools' seems to be a bit unwise to me.
It's a really intriguing story the Tesla boom. I wonder how it's going to go. One of the top Tesla geysers left and sold 300 million dollars of shares recently. Ok drop in the ocean but it's an interesting one to watch, with no skin in the game.
I think NIO and the removeable OR rechargeable battery is going to be in charge at some point.
I don't do investing but NIO seems a good one to me.
With the rapid developments in battery tech it seems sensible to have removeable as an option.

i trust you didn't do it a second time... A broken arm, a dislocated knee and 150 stitches from broken glass persuaded me I shouldn't. Also since the car was opened up like a sardine can meant it was written off. Still don't know how I survived 😱 I was still having bits of glass working their way our from under my skin 20 years later. I guessed the car was a goner and I could tell you survived, albeit narrowly, from the sound of it. Anyway, an intelligent person learns from mistakes. I made a similar error a long time ago in which happily no-one was hurt. Didn't do it again though.

Honestly it isnt going to happen, Hydrogen takes to much energy to make to be viable, what they do produce from green sources wil be needed for industry, aircraft and big ships who are looking to use it, if the hydrogen isnt one hundred percent clean it destroys the fuel cell! Musk is right its fools cells and at the end of the day its an electric car carrying a very dangerous fuel

Il text my friend(head of motor research and development for MIRA) and tell him Peter says there wasting there, and pretty well most of the major car companies time and money. Honestly Peter, you are very closed minded to other people’s views.

Musk is right its fools cells and at the end of the day its an electric car carrying a very dangerous fuel I had a daydream about a container ship using hydrogen propulsion. If it was big enough maybe it could also have a hydrogen-producing plant on board as well but I expect that's just crazy talk. The good thing would be that when the bludy thing sank it wouldn't shit oil everywhere. Down here in Kent there is a huge brand-new hydrogen plant near the coast about to come on line which will produce fuel for buses (already hydrogen-powered). Still think burning the water is a really bad idea. They're not making any more of it you know.

Honestly Peter, you are very closed minded to other people’s views. They know they are wasting their time its government grant money same as Leeds uni is doing, the car makers have already decided its electric for cars, just a couple of makers are still wasting their time with hydrogen, ideal for lorries and buses but not cars. I think 46k chargers have been installed and a huge grant to install a lot more plus the infrastructure has just been given, local councils have been given grants to install chargers in their car parks and there are over 300k chargers at homes paid for by grants! At this moment their are 12 hydrogen filling stations and in 9 years new ICE cars cant be sold in the UK and in 2025 quite a few makers are stopping ICE production anyway, I think the decision has been taken already
