I wish we’d paid a bit extra for the full “Josher pack” which added various touches, mostly cosmetic. But one useful thing ie anser pins. These are useful for mooring at every CRT visitor mooring - because at every CRT visitor mooring, the mooring rings/bollards are always spaced wrongly! Most annoyingly we later discover3d that if you ordered your boat at one of Steve’s open days, you got the josher pack thrown in for free.
Anser pins also are useful to attach some sort of rope fender to protect the tunnel banding from scrapery when the back end is scraped against the side - which never happens when I’m driving obviously.

Only thing I would change but can't is to have a deeper gas locker so I could use bigger bottles. Can only fit the small 4.5 kg butane bottles in there.

Inexpensive is a relative term ... if you have a young family your funds are already heavily committed. Rog You could always sell one to free up cash... Picking which one might be an issue😉🙂 One day. Once debt free. Eta. Boat that is.

I'd like to change the fact that I don't have a boat. I’ll keep my fingers crossed the money tree starts to grow at the bottom of your garden 🤞👍🍻

It's a funny expression 'money doesn't grow on trees'.
Its actually wrong. What about fruit farmers?
As for boats if I could change anything it would be for the boat to always be new because I am rubbish with maintenance and not the type to pay others to do work on it.

Inexpensive is a relative term ... if you have a young family your funds are already heavily committed. Rog Our fixed costs are around £1k a year - Registration and insurance (along with associated tender costs), amortised bss, small maintenance slush fund, club fees. Its probably the best grand I spend in a calendar year - luckily we don’t struggle for it, and there’s always the child benefit to fall back on which very nearly covers it eh Clinton Cool 🤪 we also don’t go on holiday anywhere else so pre/post Covid the money doesn’t have to stretch to two weeks in Benidorm or Fuengirola, nor do we fill Murdoch or Branson’s coffers with TV subscriptions; no Netflix either 👍 Actually using the boat is more expensive these days - were as the fixed costs (bar the EA’S inflation busting year on year increase) have remained fairly static; the cost of putting fuel in the boat along with food and drink in our bellies has got dearer and dearer as the years have gone by. it’s no wonder boating is often the preserve of coffin dodging caravan/motor home rejects 🙈🧐

I assume we're all happy with our current boat, and that we have all grown accustomed to, and learned to live with any restrictions or foibles. But if you could change just one thing, what would it be ? Whilst very happy with what we have, I would very much liked to have had a fitted dinette 'pullman' style, rather than the space for free standing furniture. Rog Then change it, dear Henry. I went from loads of cabin space to building a dinette, i much prefer the dinette, space under for storage and looks better. When we have the space we put a dining table and chairs in, didn't feel right plus you were always lower than the windows. If i was going to change anything i would move the main sitting area, what ever you call it, to the front instead of the bedroom.

Sunflowers are doing well 🌻 🌻🌻👍🍻 looks ace out there 👌 Garden here is on the back burner at the mo, it’s presentable and has a little life in it but 4.8m x 2.5m of decking are gonna have to wait till next year, too much to do inside at the moment 🤬😩

I like the little toadstool house.
I hope the sunflowers are well propped up.

thebfg fence painting tip - use good quality stain, something like Cuprinol Ducksback, apply with a cut in half jumbo sponge direct from the tin, this was the first coat that took the two of us about an hour and a half to do 35’, it was a really dark brown that was not at all nice. I’ll grab a shot of the finished article if the sun stays out. The colour we used was Silver Copse - very on trend apparently! The raised bed has had a bit more greenery added, but then again we now have fetching green ceilings prior to skimming over the hateful swirly artex so that’s not saying much 🤪👍🍻

I recently decided what was most absent from my life was a cup of hot chocolate. So I made one.
