With the weekend looking to hit 28 my way, what would be your top tips for staying cool?
Mine is sitting on the deck, umbrella up, damp towel round my neck and lots of cold ale, i even put my pitcher in the freezer to help keep my ale cool.
We have a little fan that clips to things, this stays on all night.

I really struggle with the heat. Strange perhaps, given the amount of time I've spent in the tropics. I just do very little and look forward to when it will be less than 25c, I can't function much above that. Fortunately my house is cool.

Got the sun shade rigged over the hatch for the first time for a year.
Was going to make a proper one rather than the Heath-Robinson affair with a cheap blue tarp ......never enough round tuits

Over the years years there has been a constant upgrading of power systems/ batteries/ solar panels.
It might be now time to review

Should fine a pub with air con really, Anchor at Hartshill might be a good idea. Sat beneath a tree alongside our boat. Decent breeze, cold G&T ,it doesnβt feel so warm, to me. Iβm loading my glass with strawberries, which are as sumptuous as a light lunch could be.

There are some trees for us to sit under by Dulcinea. Have the girls aboard again tonight, tomorrow and tomorrow night. They like getting out of London..
A useful cooling system is a cleaning spray bottle full of clean water. Just spray it at yourself. Works lovely.

When it has been really hot I have sometimes rigged a 2 inch pump and soaked the decks until they stop steaming

We've just got back to the boat having been up the Cloud ... lovely and cool up there. 32 degrees in the boat when we got back ... all opened up now and cooling inside. We're sat out in the shade enjoying being hot ... there's so many days when the weather is miserable I try to enjoy days like these. It's healthy to sweat Rog

We are moored at Hawksebury, facing the wrong way, i may cruise to the winding hole half way down the five and half this evening, just to get some fresh air though the boat, i may stop at the longford engine for a swift one also.
