I hate spaniels with an awful vengeance which makes me want to throw bricks at them, cut down trees specifically so that they land on them and also petrol bomb them and use spears.
I really like all sight hounds. And long dogs.
I won't have a pet again due to awfulness of it all but if I did she would be a lurcher bitch bought from a pikey. Best dogs ever.

I was talking to my boy just yesterday and I said how strange it was that nowadays there are breeds of dog called "Cockapoo" and "Labradoodle" which sell for fortunes but when I was a kid these were called "mongrels" or "Heinz 57s" and used to be thrown into the nearest canal in a sack with a brick in it.

Growing up our pet dog was a cocker spaniel, lovely thing. Had a stoke in the end.
Very friendly and loved us kids.
I want to get another dog one day. Except she went and got a kitten to go with the cat we have.
My daughter loves huskies rottweilers have always scared me, my aunt had two and even though I know they were friendly loveable dogs it took me years to go in their garden at the same time as them.

I like any proper dog. None of these little tiny rats.
My sisters dog was a terrier cross something and something else, lovely thing always walked of the lead with me.
We went up a mountain once in the snow and my misses dident want to go all the way so dave told the Bruce to stay with her. He had never met her before but half way up a freezing mountain he sat by her side until the BIL and I returned.
He was called Bruce because Dave wanted to call out Bbbbrrrruuuuucccceeeee like he was at a Springsteen concert.
I wouldent mind a GSD but would need to like long walks in remote locations and sleep in a tent.

I've never met a dog I didn't like but I've met plenty of humans who qualify for that.

I'm with Clinton Cool on this ... you can't blame a dog for being a dog ... they just are, well dogs. It's us that need to adjust. Rog
