He has other boats I'm sure they are faster than yours. Not whilst it’s sunk it’s not. I imagine it’s in a sorry state after being sat in the bottom for so long. If you want to start talking about boats that are in a "sorry" state, . . let's start of with A41, shall we ? We won't bother with any of the wear and tear that any ex-commercial of her age is entitled to carry, . . we'll just stick with all the half-arsed amateur bodge ups you've inflicted on the poor old girl. First, though, . . get someone to read and explain Section 7 [Control of unsafe vessels] of the British Waterways Act 1983 to you, and then decide if it's really sensible for you to keep getting up my nose.

Control of unsafe vessels.
Is this where CRT remove your boat, lift it onto a wagon and transport it to hardstanding miles from the canal then sell it to some unsuspecting dupe?

Seems CRT aren't interested in byelaw offences, kris won't have any issues.

Seems CRT aren't interested in byelaw offences, kris won't have any issues. My boat has got a safety certificate, it always has had one since they have been required. As Tony as never been inside my boat and only ever been on the back deck for maybe 40mins. When he was so kind as to help me set the tappet clearances and that was over two years ago. He has no idea of the state of my boat. To be honest he seems to have lost what little grip on reality he had. I stopped taking advice on my boat from him, when he started trying to bully me into doing what he wanted with my boat. It’s completely his fault he is a sad lonely old man, with nothing better to do than spout bile on the internet.

It appears from his post above that kris is quite determined to continue pushing his luck and irritating me. I'm fairly sure I know why he's doing it, . . but I can't imagine what the stupid bugger thinks he's going to gain from it. He'd do himself a big favour by engaging whatever he's got that passes for a brain before shooting his mouth off any more. Throughout the considerable time I've spent living, working, and running successful businesses on the inland waterways, I've seen a good many bullshitting know-alls come and go. If I'm right about why I think he's so touchy about A41's condition, . . and given his bloody-minded reluctance to follow good advice when he's given it, I'm fairly sure I am, . . then it probably won't be too long before he finds himself following the rest of them into well deserved obscurity.

In fairness Tony, at least Kris has actually got a boat.

In fairness Tony, at least Kris has actually got a boat. I was wondering about that witty retort but thought perhaps best to reserve space for future use and do it in three weeks' time.

I can’t believe the arrogance of Tony. He posts derogatory things about me and my boat in a thread I started, yet I’m trying to irritate him. Tony it’s easy if you don’t want me to post the truth, then don’t keep posting derogatory remarks about me.

Is it a bit like Scapa on Trent, an attraction, with divers nicking the brass portholes from the scuppered boat? Plus anything left on the back deck obvs.
