I dont know kris to me they seem to go for the ones who are breaking the rules Not always, but you have made a point by stating "rules". This is the bottom of the pit. I would say the larger majority do not break the law, but break the rules because CRT adjust the rules to suit their purpose. In my view, CRT do in fact need to run the system fairly, this giving everyone the opportunity to share the sweets. However, social cleansing is not the way to go about that. The rules need to be consistent, and relate to the whole system. The fact that some EO's run around their areas rough shod shows bad management. This has been proven in the past, where even though the eo has made a bad decision, they get backed up by management. That's wrong. CRT hide their true agenda, and once they have dealt with the weak, you will be the next target.

I dislike the way crt seem to pick on vunerable people, older people, single people or peole that are ill. Regards kris We have discussed this before Kris on another Forum and been lambasted for doing so. I have no issues being compliant, but compliancy can mean anything at any time to CRT irrespective of rule of Law or long established practise and you always have the feeling that anything can happen at any time and frequently does. I shall try to be in London Saturday,Gower Street I believe.

See you there then cds, crt need to be held accountable in law. I don't see any body demanding a free for all situation, there need to be regulations for the use of the waterways. These need to be seen to be applied fairly and consietently for the system to work.
Regards kris

We're getting married on that day but we wish you all the best. I've said all along that it's bullying and I'm sure a 'good' lawyer would be able to pull CRT apart for causing unreasonable distress and harassment to many boat dwellers. What goes around eventually comes around!

Oh Wow !!! Congratulations to you and your intended......all the best John V Thanks John. Ironically we're just off to a funeral of an ex girlfriend of mine. I've lost 3 freinds already in tragic or sudden circumstances this year and they were all before before their time. It's been an annus horribilis so far. Let's hope Saturday is positive for all of us eh?

It is hard losing friends especially when they go before there time
When you get to my age (70) you start to lose your peers. Somehow this doesn't seem quite as bad, it's just something that happens. It is still something you hate happening but at least it feels...........natural.

I dislike the way crt seem to pick on vunerable people, older people, single people or peole that are ill. Regards kris Funny how perspective works, innit! I only see CRT picking on people who overstay, don't license their boats, or litter the towpaths with all their domestic shit. I just don't know why some of them need all that stuff anyway. I certainly don't feel oppressed by CRT, and personally think they're doing OK.

I obey their rules/guidance and never have a problem. What IS so difficult?

I have a few medals, and none of them are from CRT! I certainly am not 'after' any more! Why should they ever target me?
