I'm not sure about supermarkets but I have been looking at everything from fishing tackle to electricals, the amount of 'out of stock' items must be at an all time high.

shopped in Morrisons Monday ..... didn't notice any problems
Yesterday B&Q in Hull ....... wasn't really check ing shelves but picked all I went in for with no problems and Tool station .... ditto.
Just got back from picking up some extra bits from Aldi in Beverley ..... shelves seemed to be full

Were in a trail where people pinged can go to work and be tested. So can still work while self isolating. It meets the requirements of the law and is a government trial before anyone gets on their high horse. 3000 pallets a day and over 80,000 cases a day are going out of our depot. I think the biggest issue facing retailers is the staycation effect. Far more people are shopping here rather than abroad. There are reports of holiday destinations being unable to cope with the sheer amount of people.

The coronavirus lockdown created a huge backlog of lorry drivers who have been waiting to take their HGV tests. The Road Haulage Association (RHA) said this has subsequently created a shortage of 100,000 drivers. Good. More money for me.

We have some shortages..to be expected as we r crawling with tourists.... I did an online shop and most stuff available..I won't let them substitute any item, having had some rather ridiculous alternatives

But our last shop they substituted all the missing stuff with items that were larger for the same price so was quite happy.

Always reminds me of the Victoria Wood character ... "They didn't have any strawberry yoghurts so I brought you a pork pie."

No issues here or in york where I have been its just the media on slow news days I have pretty well stopped looking at the news. Itβs much better that way, life is very normal now, no sign of shortages of food or drink. Hardly notice covid anymore, lifeβs pretty good out there really if you ignore the doom merchants.
