Sadly Ross has been constantly only quoting a small part of a post. Or even completely changing the post to fit his agenda. I've told him to stop talking to me. So I'm trying it in simple words because asking nicely does not work. I tried for months being polite. He has been very offensive to me. This one I said there was not a massive issue but explained away the problems the industry are facing. I work in food logistics and report accurately what is happening at the time. Perhaps you could ask him where the photos are from?

Driver shortage seems to be getting more severe. The place I'm at has put the salary up by £2,000 a year since last year and also re-instated overtime payments which they scrapped a while back but I think they're going to have to do a bit better than that in the run-up to Christmas.

I've been to four major supermarkets and a couple of smaller stores in four different towns over the last few weeks and, apart from the aisle where the small bottles of fizzy water used to be, haven't seen any empty shelves nor heard of anyone complaining about any shortages.

Went to Gloucester Sainsburys(by boat) yesterday & the small, posh bottles of fizzy water were few & far between but big bottles of cheap sparkly water were there.Fewer tinned veg than usual, fewer pies & that was all we spotted. We certainly got what we needed.

Sainsburys have always had a pretty crap distribution system. Morrisons isn't much better. Tesco, Asda and Waitrose seem much better at keeping shelves stocked.

I did notice Waitrose in Henley had run out of organic sulphite free sun dried tomatoes which I thought was pretty shocking.
