Ok I know but I'm gonna ask anyway....boat in for blacking next month. It has been done twice in the last 3 years but flakes off so I'm taking it all off with a Tercoo. Without being rude I don't want 'opinions' I would like to hear from anyone who has actually used Keelblack in the last couple of years, does it live up to the hype, would you use it again (or no) reasons why etc. Please keep on topic as I ain't got time to sift out the crap.....sorry to be blunt but that's Asperger's Syndrome for you lol. I have used it twice on two different boats, mine is Zingered so it doesnt really count as the keelblack is purely cosmetic. My mates was a widebeam same as mine it required a good cleanback the first time the second just a steamclean the results on both boats was very good, I sprayed it on and put all three coats on both boats in a day, leaving me plenty of time to do all the other work needed, next year I will be using keelblack again, unlike Foxy I do actually know what I am doing same as the other people on here that have used it

Ellis is 5 this October and on her 3rd coat of bitumen ... I AM going to use Keelblack next as it can't be any worse than the shoddy stuff I keep having to touch up anyway.

Hope the weather is warm as it works better when it is Also remember to wash off the Fertan otherwise it won't stick, this is usually what those that whinge about it forget to do. It is important
