I am totally devoid of skills, grace or charm although I do have a head of hair to die for.

We're going to morrisons and filling a Lorry up. We will also steal a tanker of fuel from esso. And then when dogless has acquired some lorries, he can get the IOW ferry so we can sit out at sea.

Best skill I have is knowing when a thread on a forum will die on its arse in 24 hours and not to respond to it. How long would you estimate it to be until, thanks to the efforts and the debilitating influence of all but one or two of Thunderboat's most active contributors, . . this entire forum dies "on its arse" ?

We're still here after four years ... and despite your constant protestations, I see so are you. Is it some kind of sadomasochistic, self flagellation your continued visits to thunderboat , despite your endless protests about its membership and content ? You really should start your own forum for like minded people ... intelligent, single minded, crusaders ... who no longer go boating. Rog

I have the ability to snag various wildlife, fish especially. I have the means to take to the water to snag said fish. I'm quite handy with a club or if there isn't one to hand, a hammer. Otherwise, I have nothing to offer.

Afraid not Rog. I called last week it was still awaiting shipping from South Africa. The latest prediction is for it to arrive at the end of this month but if I was a gambling man I'd wager on much later.

You, and the rest of the gormless invertebrates, would have been aware of what I was doing, had any of you bothered to read what I was posting instead of just griping and whingeing about it. Thunderboat itself is still of some use, and can occasionally serve a useful purpose in feeding C&RT's internet snoopers with stuff I want them to report back to Parry, Deards, and co. with.

I very much doubt anyone at CRT can be arsed to read this forum.
It's quite arduous and they probably have other things to be doing.

I very much doubt anyone at CRT can be arsed to read this forum. It's quite arduous and they probably have other things to be doing. Tony still seems to be suffering under a delusion, it’s sad really. Your customary bluster and bull-shitting, and your diversionary posts, may fool those at whom you direct it via this forum, . . but it won't fool an insurance assessor, . . or a surveyor appointed to inspect A41/"Medlock" - Index No. 76914 - under Section 7 (Control of unsafe vessels) of the British Waterways Act 1983. If I hadn't actually seen and met you in person, I would almost certainly have dismissed your internet ID as just another one of known fantasist, liar, and general all round scumbag JJ's many aliases -- Bedruthan, Steve Jay, Jenlyn, John Evans, Steve Jenkin etc. In reality, as two examples of the lowest forms of life that blight the human race, and this forum, . . there's little to nothing to distinguish either one of you from the other. Ignoring the truth, however inconvenient or uncomfortable, about a worn-out old ex-carrying boat that is way beyond your severely limited abilities to handle, maintain, or to repair, alters nothing of the fact that in the highly likely event of a mishap and a claim, your insurers will NOT pay out in respect of third party claims for injury or on any other grounds, when they can avoid all liability on the grounds of inadequate maintenance of hull and machinery, sub-standard machinery installation, or sub-standard repairs to previous structural damage ! Bodged up junk is bodged up junk, and the only thing it can be depended on for is to let you down at the very moment when you really need it to do its job reliably. The amateurishly cobbled together engine installation you devised and fitted to A41 got through its first drive plate and broke down after a few dozen hours running that were needed to get the boat from Skipton to Nottingham. Despite being shown and advised of the serious defects that you had designed and built into the engine installation - the sole cause of the drive plate failure - nothing has been done since to reduce or eliminate the vibration and misalignment that wrecked the first drive plate, . . and makes the premature failure of the second one both imminent and inevitable. The only uncertainty in any of this, is to whether or not the boat will sink before the drive plate fails, or if the boat will come to grief somewhere as a consequence of it failing.
