I thought this was why people had boats.
Although to be fair the idea of everyone needing to have boats does seem slightly alarming.

Bloody hell Peter ....... have you caught Foxy's disease ? No John reality is kicking in we wont change because it will spoil our lives, so the reality is we will die from the climate crisis! Tech wont save us as carbon capture is very energy dense, the new savior hydrogen is 96% made from natural gas which is methane so any leaks are a million times worse than CO2, plus it uses more energy to make than it saves! We have had a rest from flying which hasnt even made a dent in restoring the ozone layer, so the conclusion is we would rather die than make changes to save ourselves! I reckon on 9 to 10 years and its goodbye low lying areas and massive overcrowding and food shortages, people with boats might have a better chance of doing a few more years

Thanks for pointing this out, cheered me up no end.

Yep...
Been over doing it and can feel it, weight is only going one way, tired and feeling old so something has to change, give it ago for 30 days and see how i feel, if i feel better then make the call to go another 30 days.

this last weekend was a spell of considerably higher ale consumption than normal maybe I should have a short respite from alcohol on the other hand .... maybe not

I have the problem of feeling old ....... but there are other possible reasons than alcohol

I woke up Saturday and started sanding from 8am till 1pm, opened a beer and continued to drink till near midnight, I counted the empties, 14 beers plus I had two gins before bed.
that was just me pottering round the boat doing little jobs and listening to music, its very easy to do this most weekends if i let myself.
Hence the need for change.

As normal, we'll be doing dry October again ... makes sense when we're going back to work and routine car driving.
It's easy on the boat to just 'open another' ... especially when you've been sanding etc.
