Saw a couple the other day ... in their thirties I'd guess. Both had multiple colourful, stunning tattoos and a panoply of piercings ... they made quite a spectacle, and clearly knew it , turning everyone's heads. As someone who's spent a lifetime trying to blend in and not cause folks to stare, it struck me that one has to be an exhibitionist and quite a strong personality to carry this type of self-display off. I understand that they're quite expensive too, so perhaps it's a modern , safer (than jewellery) way of demonstrating wealth. Rog Ps no ink or pins here ... too cowardly

I find both incredibly infra dig.
It takes all sorts and I would not refuse to engage with them but not good.
Henna decorations are good and if I was forced to have a tattoo it would be a teardrop below left eye.
Some of the bodysuit tattoos are technically quite impressive but I still think rather naff.
Not at all keen on piercings myself although large ear hoops can look quite good on a man.
I wouldn't have them. Those awful ear tunnel things make me want to either clip a dog lead onto them or clip something else onto them.
It takes all sorts and I would not actively judge anyone for wishing to have this sort of decoration.

One of my sons has quite a few tattoos ..they each have a meaning or represent an event in life... middle son has one or 2 I think but I have no idea as to why or if they represent something Daughter has one which can be hidden.. her dad said the no word and she did it anyway(as they do)
I quite like to see some tattoos, undoubtably they r an art form, however some people look dreadful with them . It has been suggested by daughter that I should have the op site tattooed but I won't.

Don't have any tattoos myself. It would be like putting a bumper sticker on a Rolls Royce.

My dad always stated his hatred for Rolls Royces. Very infra dig coming from an Aston Martin and Lagonda background.
He "wouldn't be seen dead in one" then blow me he booked his own funeral and what was the hearse? A bloody Roller. A really nice 1980s Rolls Royce hearse. So he WAS seen dead in one !!

I cant even count how many Gill has, too many to try as some now blend into one
Would guess 30 all over her body.
And she doesn't like the attention, if someone says i like your tattoos then she just smiles politely, says they are not for others but herself.

That's interesting @twerp ... I don't mean to be rude, but I do find my eye is drawn to try and see what the ink design is, or what it says.
I've always assumed this was the desired outcome ... to attract attention .
Obviously I don't mean openly staring, but just glances.

I've considered having a 'sleeve' on my right arm going across to my chest. My thinking was to show off my toned body as I strut around in vests in the summer, drawing the eyes of the scummy Brummie tourists. However: given that I'm 60 in 3 months I concluded that I'd look a bit of a twat, so ditched the idea.
