I always fill cans. No need to declare anything then. The way I see it, every time I start my engine, it charges my batteries, heats my water and cruising just happens to be a by product.

Most places that sell red diesel and operate hire boats won't let you declare 100% domestic because they fiddle the rebated fuel into their own boats, but don't say you heard that from me. Just the opposite when I bought some Red from a hire place, they insisted I got 100% Domestic.

This Domestic/propulsion crap is purely limited to inland waterway boats as it didn't fit in with the EU mantra about pleasure craft. If I recall correctly, aren't hire boats treated differently anyway?

hire boats are the same as me - they don't have to declare anything for propulsion.
The other day- I filled up at The trading post in Poynton (on the Mac) and the domestic was 90 something - I forget exactly and he said "it's going up a penny per litre per day at the moment!" - which narked me cause he certainly isn't getting his tank filled every day so no need to pass it on until the next fill.
I didn't get any in braunston at his enforced 60/40 split which saved an argument...

For a minute I thought ProBoards was broke bit it's just Mark.
I see diseil prices on the road are rising.
I paid £1.41 in Andover and only chucked a few quid in tk get home, my intentions were to fill up at Asda as they are always the cheapest in the area. But asda was a penny more so only chucked 30 in. Not impressed. Profiteering.
My local tesco was £1.38 so filled the car up, went and got the van and they had pit it up 4ppl, so still mot amused.
I do 400 miles just commuting and these price rises are seriously making me wonder about continuing to travel.

(I've fixed it) You see, I've now got a broken return key on this laptop (luckily not my finance one) but it will make for interesting web building when i begin updating the site shortly - I may have to find out my password and switch it to the other one ... although that one needs a new battery so Ill be tied to a socket. Ellis IS 5 years old now so whilst still an infant, everything I brought with me from the house is past it's best lol eta - Including ME!

I am paying £1.00 locally at a boatyard, a local marina is £1.10, most don't seem to bother about asking for a split, and I've only had to sign a declaration once or twice. I just emptied 20l from my spares in to the tank, it cost 85p, which is standard cost round here, clean and bright, no particulates. I use Diesel Power Boost additive which also cleans the Webasto, which used to groan and wheeze, now seems much happier. £20 per annum.

I think that is a good idea tbh, as it softens the hit when he has to buy more diesel, but I suppose it depends when his next delivery comes, could well be 15p more than last delivery.

Maybe true in some cases.
My local supplier marina (Denham Yacht Station) when I'm at home, has weekly deliveries during the winter (you have to check they havn't run out at busy times), yet they often still beat the local petrol stations on price for fully taxed stuff.
That's "greater" London for you! There is nothing great about London, it took me 40 years to move out and nothing would tempt me to move back Phil

To use crude blokey speak (but with modifications cause I'm refined) she's got a crackin rack on her ... certainly for a 60 year old! Lovely woman - made our winter there much more pleasant and she's got the friendly northern go out of her way to help attitude.

Just wondering why Turner's at Wheaton Aston can manage to make a profit at 79.9 today and no-one else can? He was so apologetic that he had to charge so much!

Obviously different yards will have different overheads and rates of sale ... but the massive range in prices is irritating . Rog ETA hope you made it to the mooring and have settled in ?
