Pack the collar to flue joint with fire rope, Add high temperature silicone, such as Envirograf.
ETA, forget that, I was typing while you were posting the pic.

It’s just the joint in the photo really, got rope and cement for the collar on stove. Just doesn’t feel air tight but then how to put silicone in and not look a mess!

Try leaving it on the stern deck for three weeks before you fit it.

If the flue is the same way up as shown in the photo I don't reckon there would be any smoke or CO getting out unless it was blocked further up.
Aluminium adhesive tape can work depending on how hot the area gets.

I picked up some silicon so ill apply a thin bead.

If you put it the way up as per photo, any moisture (condensation or rain) can run out at the join unless it’s perfectly sealed (which it won’t be). Have the female end underneath and the male end on top. Then it doesn’t need to be well sealed because the pressure inside the flue should be slightly less than the pressure outside.

Wot Nick said^^^^^ rain will come down and spoil the job if you dont
