Very short of boaty pictures this year so just a couple more - only of lumpy water fishing boats in Mevagissey inner harbour though. Taken September 2021. looks like you picked a good time to visit, it's normally heaving with grockles Emmets, not grockles, you feckin heathen. Two boats there I worked on a few few years ago.

Then as it starts to pick up again for the evening we head off. The large car park outside as you go into Meva is a good indication of how busy it is. We have seen that rammed in the past and just turned around and headed off somewhere else.

Last time I was there was in a Transit 100 panel van - no windows in the back, carpeted and an air bed lobbed in it, we blended in with the local builders so driving around was less of a chore - holidaymakers gave us more room than I’ve really deserved 🤪👍

That noddy boater forgot to untie himself when he left the mooring He and his little noddy boat did bloody well !!!
Just purchased from CRT suposedly ready to go we left the CRT yard at Heck and started down canal only to find at the first bend that the steering was bloody useless. stationary it looked as if it was working but it was totally ........ erm ...... not.
We attempted to bow haul it to the next lock where there is road access (at least J.D. did) .... claiming age and rank (General decreptitude) I was using the engine to assist (could use very little power as it just kept going off at an unpredictable angle)
This chap was going the opposite way but turned round and came to see if he could help ....... so his little noddy boat ended up towing a 90 foot crane barge with 2 40 foot sponsons on the front !!!
Would not take a penny for it, not even something for his fuel, reckoned he would dine out on the story for years and it had totally made their trip !!!

It had gone. It's actually quite a bad situation legally and I hope no-one saw it as I have had this notice in my window for the last couple of months and the boat is completely surrounded by breeding coots A few years ago I had an imitation dismembered hand and arm with fake blood beside the boat and someone called the rozzers about it. Maybe need to be more careful?

Maybe need to be more careful? Nevermind that - which one of your armada of boats has parquet flooring? We had that in the hallway of a mid 60’s Semi in Rushden - well; we did until Mrs Gazza and her idiot friend dug it up and lobbed it down the tip while I was away doing a championship meeting nearly 20 years ago; not that I’m bitter or hold a long standing grudge or anything 😡🧐😂

Reclaimed yea from people with 60s houses who thought that modern engineered oak flooring was nicer ! I do like my parquet flooring. Went down nicely onto the original 18mm ply substrate and not a single piece has budged in the 7 years it's been there. Actually bought some more a couple of days ago to fill in an area which was previously not done due to "kitchen" units. I am now refitting the barge as a boat / shed rather than a floating apartment. There will be a lot of metal and hardwoods around. Scaffolding poles for drying clothes etc.
