If you hold and express opinions that you know are right, and dismiss all opposing views, what exactly is the point of a discussion forum ? Apart from general chat, and having a laugh here, I also like to read technical discussions like those relating to quaysider 's intermittent electrical fault. Fascinating to read the different views on rectifying the problem, and it clearly demonstrated that there are many approaches to an issue. not one that is right and every other is simply wrong. Surely if we're supposed to make a statement, and everyone has to accept it as fact, there's no discussion ? Rog

There is no point.
Even in the absence of facts some make there point the only point.
Shame, as I like a good investigation and to debate it.

I referred to the electrical issue particularly, because a number of knowledgeable folks tried to help Mark with advice ... all were basing replies on fact but were clearly viewing the problem from different perspectives and experiences, and shaping responses accordingly. The differing views, perspectives, knowledge and experiences we all have, can make for interesting discussion ... it doesn't have to be adversarial or dismissive, and at its best , it isn't Rog

Ano shows we can do it.
