I'm not getting the Christmas vibe AT all this year... then again, I rarely do. The welder has me firmly in friendzone but I'm OK with that... tbh, he's so family orientated and settled in his local world, there isn't really space for me... which is fine. We're still having 'dates' but they are NOT 'dates'... just a couple of odd middle-aged (in my case) puffs out having a pint and comparing awful 'other dating' stories - it's a sticking plaster for both of us I think... perhaps importantly for me, I need to be able to step back and see the big picture.

I have 'friends' who are blokes who were only(and still are) ever friends .. they helped me post break up... they r important in our lives and give us support and a listening ear... you'll get there. I'm seeing one of mine to-day for lunch, we will put the World to rights and go our separate ways till I'm up in Brum again.

I'm looking forward to 2 weeks completely isolated from people other than occasional trips out to the shops.
Woman and kids "subject to testing" going to De La France for a couple of weeks over Christmas. They have French and UK passports so will be able to travel.
I'll be achieving a social distance somewhere nice and quiet on the lovely Thames.
Need some relaxing. Not only covid related by my anxiety levels are through the roof recently. Crazy levels.

Eight hour shift for us yesterday, working together in the stockroom and managed to empty it A little achy this morning ... will need a second caffeine shot to help get me going, but we're only there for four hours today (we shall see). It's very convenient, and very unusual to be working the same hours ... makes travel and eating much easier. Certainly noticing it's nearer to 5pm than 4pm when it gets dark now Let us know of your travels during your 'free two weeks' @a ... I know it's not high quality, technical or important content, but I for one, really enjoy reading other folk's inconsequential nonsense. Rog

Yes if the River is in good condition I might even have a cruise up to Oxford and back. That would be most sensible but does depend on the conditions. Some yellow boards about at the moment but weirs should be shut in soon I think and a fairly dry forecast.
So should be good to go.
