One of the gas hobs has suddenly started to 'burp' ( a couple of seconds of roaring away sound but not increased flame). Everything ok before this evening, only one of the hobs/burners does it, oven and grill all ok.
My guess is air getting in but really don't know.
All suggestions comments welcome.

If it's only one ring perhaps it is something in the burner itself - e.g. spilt fat/water?

Is the black thing on the hob sat properly, that's what's normally the route of problems on ours. Or possibly where the gas comes out is partially blocked (friend found a charred spider in his)

My technical knowledge knows no bounds!!! I was truly impressed but really hoped you knew the name of that black thing which has an annoying habit of unseating itself from time to time .....
