Has that punch/red card cost France the title?

Scotland the better team and looked likely to come out on top, even before the daft red card.
Some terrific Scots players ... just good to see most of them have a great game, all at the same time for a change.
I'm sure Hamish Watson is English really ... what a player.

Rog As a casual watcher of Rugby, and a lover of sports in general, I have to say I wonβt be rushing to watch anymore rugby matches. Both games today ruined by thuggery. Are the players generally a bit thick?

The latter part of your statement rather explains the opening part.
Rugby is and always was a physical battle, a confrontation between willing participants, of all shapes and sizes, and team ethics above the individual.
The odd punch used to be part of the game, but it now offends some casual observers, and gives the 'chatteratzi' something to get 'frothy' about.
The game may be better if EVERY player at ALL times managed to control their anger/frustration/passion/stupidity but I'm guessing the fans will still be around, paying at the turnstiles as always, long after the 6N have been sold to the highest 'pay to view' deal.

Rog It may be being sold for UK audiences but I have heard that it will be unencrypted on French TV, available from an Astra satelite near you, providing you know how to retune away from Freesat.

Just think when Scotland beat Wales this weekend, as all the other matches are on hold, Scotland will be top of the table all summer

Proof the world's gone mad ! Tuilagi makes a 'no arms tackle' and is red carded ... four week ban. Marler makes a joke of tickling a player's testicals ... ten week ban. No one who's ever played rugby would think the Marler incident was other than a joke ... misplaced ... ill considered ... stupid even ... but a ten week ban ? The game and it's players are obviously a safer environment now for ten weeks, without the scourge of Marler tickling bollocks to defuse an aggressive situation Rog PS I didn't even think Tuilagi's offence was a red ... as the player had already been tackled and was falling it looked like Tuilagi pulled out of the tackle attempt and there was a minimal collision/brushing past only.

So we keep Fast Eddie until France 2023 ... right decision in my view ... and I speak as someone who didn't want an Aussie coach back in 2015 , but he's won me over. He'll never get top awards at any charm school, but he can get a group of young players to believe and perform And Newcastle are back in the Premiership ... only right looking at the league. Lets hope the world is 'back on the rails' by the autumn. Rog

"Covid is a scam to make money."
"That's just a conspiracy theory!"
"Worcester Warriors: After Β£14m Covid bailout, this Premiership rugby club is going under
Premiership rugby club Worcester Warriors is set to go into administration, putting Β£14 million of taxpayersβ funds at risk.
The cash-strapped club, whose players include British and Irish Lions winger Duhan van der Merwe, were last week issued with a winding-up notice by HM Revenue & Customs over an unpaid tax bill.
The club responded to reports of its problems last week by saying it was βworking on solutions to secure the future and pay outstanding taxesβ.
However, Worcester are now understood to have asked the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport for permission to go into administration. Such approval is required because of the taxpayer cash it received during Covid."
Yeah... just where did that Β£14 million go to?

"Was told more than once by people I was doing work for that as soon as the loans were asked to be repaid they were going bankrupt, the old man who ran the company would return to India/Pakistan/Bangladesh with the cash and posh car and the sons would buy up the assets for basically nothing and restart it.
Was the plan all along."
