I've heard the opinions of some forumites on Seagulls so even as I type I'm wondering why I'm bothering but...reluctantly decided to sell my longshaft model 55 (40+). I was going to modify this to a short (standard) shaft but can't bring myself to do it. It belongs on a cruiser and I don't have one. Ironically this is the best condition Seagull I ever acquired. Late model, totally original, little use, cosmetically perfect. Electronic ignition, sealed gearbox, weed-cutter prop, forward / neutral gear. It doesn't have a recoil start unit but it would be the work of literally minutes to fit one. I haven't taken a pic as yet but this is a library photo of the exact model and spec. Mine is as good condition (or better) in every way.

I think you’ll need to give a price if you want to sell it.

It owes me about 140. I am confident I could sell for more, but if somebody here wants it then that's the price.

Shame it's not a century as one can make a very nice can holder from the ally casting which links the exhaust and the driveshaft casing / water pump housing. Like this one which is currently in use
