Id rather they found a less stressful way of advancing technology A good example is GPS which was originally developed by the USA as a tactical necessity for advanced weapons. All the bombs fired off in the Gulf wars depended on it. If we get close to a shooting war of the sort everyone fears, one sure sign it's close to kicking off will be that such things are closed to public access. And then the current snowflake generation will really be lost. I have a set of comprehensive Phillips road maps that knock sat nav into a cocked hat without the need for a silly voice that cannot navigate around road closures and works.

How wrong you are, but you're far from alone. I don't much care for the voice either, but it can be easily disabled. However looking at a map is without doubt the best way to have a grasp of the geography. I've often compared it to the difference between doing math with a pen and paper or using a calculator.

Best advantage of sat nav is its ability to route around heavy traffic. Well Waze does that anyway. You donβt get that with a road atlas!
