What's going to happen then? Russia haven't assembled 100,000 troops along the border just for the fun of it.
It looks like we are heading for the greatest European conflict any of us have ever known, even Sweden is moving onto a war footing.

I've noticed an awful lot of serious/scary military aircraft activity over the west midlands for the last few weeks now.
When I still lived on the land in the East Anglian area many years ago I witnessed a similar escalation - and a few weeks later a major conflict kicked off.
Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Maybe it's all some elaborate bluff centred around the Nordstream pipeline row. But then again who would have believed that Russia would dare to annexe Crimea before they did it?

This is quite fascinating:
From a Russian perspective Ukraine was a part of Russia for centuries.

No it wasn't, because "Great Britain" is a geographical term, describing the greater landmass of the British Isles, not a political construct.

But never mind - I'll go back on the naughty step.

I think you will find lots of people in Scotland, Wales and the north of Ireland who think that Great Britain is a political construct.

Vehicles now have to display UK stickers and not GB when being used abroad.

The United Kingdom is another political construct just newer than Great Britain.
